@Tricks122: Agreed ! It was nice having this conversation with you ! Best wishes and luck to you
@Tricks122: Agreed ! But in my friend's case he was really hurt because had other real life issue that he was dealing with and this just stressed him out way too much. But yes, some people act all high and mighty and think they're the top dog because well, you're anonymous on the internet / on games for the most part Hence the terms " keyboard warrior(s) / internet tough guy/ gal" Hope people can have more pleasant/ enjoyable times on Maple instead of being harassed / threatened
Yeah, that can happen. It's very unfortunate, and it tends to happen when virtual success goes to someone's head; I think most people manage to have a good time if you avoid conflicts and don't associate with these people too much. The best way to avoid drama, in my opinion, is to not get dragged into it in the first place, and generally not feeding these 'warriors' too much.

When will this type of MADNESS end?
@Tricks122: I agree with you; only reason why keep bring it up is because a close friend of mine got bullied on Maple ( for weeks) and even sent proof to Nexon and all they said was " We will look into the issue. " and basically did nothing. It went so far that my friend quit the game. The bully even went on other characters and harassed my friend almost every single day just because he went through all the channels and they were all full ( my friend said "Sorry the party is full, but if you wait, I'll add you in when someone leaves." But the bully said " No ! I don't have time for that ( insert things I can't post here)! " and that's when problems started to happen. People who say "kill yourself" need to grow up, seriously. Inb4 " Omg , people so sensitive these days."
I personally think any insult that you can't justify firmly with logic is something people need to grow up and remove; half the insults I hear are the same dribble every twelve year old says when they get in an 'insult fight'. I guarantee you most of the people posting that wouldn't say it to someone in a similar situation in real life; Nexon is known for not enforcing their Terms of Service well(Just look at what happens to a lot of their NX), so I'm not surprised they did nothing. In such a case I'd just leave that character for a while and train a mule(Granted, all my characters follow the same naming scheme, but I imagine most people don't do that), chances are they'd forget eventually.
Most times I see bullies like that, the other person reacts. And that's what they thrive on. I had someone use a DC hack on my Marauder during 2x once; they looked for me to react and I just trained my Thunder Breaker instead. They gave up because they realized I was just ignoring them, and by doing so you take away their power unless they are incredibly vindictive; generally, those who are and who can actually bother you end up being the top players in your server, and from my experience if you leave them alone, they mostly do the same to you.

You could just set the party option to private mode and have your friends afk in the map to give the illusion of a full party. Or you can just simply not give a dam.
I also set my kanna's kishin to say "Sorry, full". It's hilarious when people come into the map and start getting mad at the kanna saying stuff like "No you're not".
@Tricks122: I didn't mean to offend you and if I did, I apologize ; but it can lead to cyber bullying ( I've witnessed it myself in-game) I've been bullied too, many times actually ( in real life), so I understand what you're trying to say Depending on the person and how they react to it, it can cause serious drama ( bullying, in worse cast scenario, can happen ( even on Maple)) Both bullying in real life and cyber bullying/ on the internet (in games, etc.) is not acceptable Suicide/ killing yourself is not a joke. I agree that GMS already have enough problems to deal with , but I'm just saying once again, depending on how the person reacts to it and if the person telling someone to go kill themselves keeps on going at it , it can cause problems. We can agree to disagree, I'm just going to leave it at that
Chances are in this case the person changed channels instantly after saying it, there was no drawn out spat, and if there was, the person being 'bullied' can stop the abuse instantly. This is different if they got forced out of training by having others take their maps for weeks, or smega'd harmful things, but this isn't the case. I agree that it is not acceptable, nor is it a joke; the issue I have is that generally only the bully has significant, direct control, while the bullied do not(In Maple, this isn't the case for several reasons in such a scenario until it escalates).
It can cause problems if the person it is said to decides to continue. In that case, the fault is on both of them(Although primarily on the instigator); I hope I haven't offended you either, but I just find it odd to refer to something as 'cyber bullying' when someone can actually decide not to be 'bullied' at the drop of a hat(In this case), and in every other circumstance of bullying that tends to be out of their control.
SAME dude came into my map ksing us lol. Good guy.

I actually got the same but it was the party leader who told me to kill myself when I asked if any room
@Tricks122: Cyber bullying can happen in Maple too; I'm just saying just telling people right off the bat to " Just ignore them" isn't good. They could've like you said, explain the blacklist feature and then to use the moderator forum/thread ( I'm not saying Nexon should chase people around)
Cyber bullying can really only happen when people start doing things like trying to run you out of a server or Smega'ing or something serious. Idle comments like this, while rude, uncivil and in poor taste, don't qualify as "cyber bullying" in my opinion, because they aren't persistent and easily shut out. It's not equivalent to, say, shoving someone in a locker or demolishing their self-esteem daily; I've actually been bullied and this kind of stuff being put as "cyber bullying" is insulting to people that actually have to deal with this, especially when you can do something as simple as shut your eyes and ignore it(Unlike actual bullying).
The blacklist is explained through Tot, if I remember correctly, and if not, well... it's a basic feature. Being told to 'ignore them' could easily be interpreted as putting them on your blacklist and leaving it at that. That's how I would interpret it, and GM's have much more important things to try and do than deal with issues that players themselves have the ability to right.
Telling people to " just ignore it " doesn't always cut it Oh, Nexon and MapleStory's community...
There's a blacklist feature within game. You can mute players. While it's not perfect, expecting Nexon to chase around people who are using the anonymous aspect of the Internet to mess with others verbally is a bit silly(It's words on a screen, I mean seriously... this isn't social media where tons of people can gang up on you and you can't ignore them quickly); they've got better things to fail at doing.
You are worthy to live
why do people still train there? the exp sux
Small map and doesn't require much mobility. These maps are, for the most part, pretty full so I train at Armory 2, but it has 3 platforms and requires a lot of mobility. The exp is way higher though.
ev1 act like suicide a joke... it no joke budy...
/Respond to him with "no u"
I'd say only if you do it first. That way he wouldn't know if you did it after him. You know... because he'd be dead.
You could always respond with "Do you make out with your uncle with that mouth?"
/Respond to him with "no u"
I wouldn't either, truthfully.
I wouldn't either, truthfully.
I got that from two random guys. I talk to live chat about this issue and all they say is to ignore it and report it in the forums and through the in-game report function. I find it pathetic that Nexon gave me this response even after I argued how serious telling people to commit suicide is and they try to brush the issue off by telling me to ignore them. What's funny is that even if you report these kinds of people, Nexon won't do anything regardless of the issue and will just try to focus on bringing new content / attract new players or old players.
