Honestly Surprised how People still play this Game
I am really surprised. The time of when Monster Carnival was avalible during the lvls 30~50 sure brings back memories. It was those party quest where everyone could play competitively and it was so fun! Now everything is so much harder. On a 2D game the thing their adding to the game makes it even more boring. Sure revamps are nice and all, but it just makes players who already playing, continue playing. They shouldve stopped all the big changes from Big Bang, that time sure was great. Now everything is so much harder. Mu lung dojo now sucks. Monster Carnival Sucks. Now better training map for the funded and not for the average(before people used to train in all kinds of places. That was what made this game awesome. But after addition of LHC its dumb to train in other areas, so really few people plays in such locations. So we see close friends surpassing each other. The friend who were friends use, uses money to get super strong. Then kicks you out from the guild you were in cuz ur weak. Money destroys friends. And thats what maplestory is turning too.
CONCLUSION: Maplestory is now super boring, everything got bad after Monster Carnival being reworked. I regret using over 300 dollar in this stupid game. I wish people will know this and quit maplestory. It really is easy to quit. Play league with OP champ, do well, play forever. There you don't need to pay to win.

I do miss monster carnival and LHC. Back in the day me and my cousin used to always team up at mc and just had a blast even if we won or lost. LHC was a social training area and i love that aswell. Why they took it out is beyond me.
Why must you be so surprised? It's not like every Mapler in 2013 had played pre-BB.

There are a few things wrong with your argument.
For one, nobody goes to LHC anymore.
Ok, I personally loved pre-bb for the memories, community and the areas/items that no longer exist. But please don't start the 9000th thread about this. It's really getting freaking ridiculous.
I often find myself agreeing to and advocating for some form of pre-bb server on nexon but I can't bring myself to bash on what current maple is. I've been back to maple for 3 months and I've gotten pretty used to it. Although I miss a few things, I'm starting to like the new system. Most of the quests and areas are now revamped but still pretty much the same. Everything looks sleeker and newer. I love that. I just wish for a way to fuel both my nostalgic, old school maple needs and my present-day maple needs whenever I want.
But please, please don't be that guy that follows the overused trend of bashing on current maple in favor of old maple. People still play current maple because they like it. And Nexon will probably never give us a pre-bb server, not even for a day. So either suck it up and learn to enjoy maple as it is or go play some other game like LoL.
I don't understand how someone would possibly think there's any light to shed at all when they say these.

LOL, anyway it's an alternative to Skype/IM Clients and a good way to kill time in moderate chunks of time. I've tried League... but each game is soooooooo long (and your peers don't let you take breaks).
