Guilds in new servers: Extreme tryhards.

Why is it that every time a new server is released, people flock there trying to make a new guild to become famous? Most of the time they end up quitting and going back to their old server, and their new guild just rots away. I think people try way too hard without putting the proper thought into their guilds. They're just like "I'm going to go there and make a bossing guild and be the best in the server!" and they make huge extravagant threads but do poorly on the actual keeping-up-with-the-guild part.
So I guess you are not a representative for all the 'real guilds' out there? Real guilds never tried to be top tier? Stupidest thing I've ever heard.. If anything a real guild would strive to be top tier... A real guild would be planned out and have set goals and would BECOME top tier. 'Real guilds' are not just 'simply' top tier guilds. Your logic sir is flawed.

Oh and 'real guilds' don't boast? Then why do all these guilds post on SW that they can kill Zak/Pap/HT/CWKPQ in 'x' amount of minutes? And they some of the fastest/friendliest guilds in 'x' server?
all the guilds ive ever been in didn't invite people because of level, etc. it was just for friends who just were good at the game. those are good guilds in my eyes, not guilds that just kill something in x amount of time. And I never said real guilds boast "omg we zak and pap pls join we pro =)" lol.

except I wouldn't consider those 'real guilds'.
There's a difference from being an excessive tryhard and just wanting to make a good guild. You have no idea how many guilds claim to be "bossing guilds" because they can kill Pap and Zakum, and then try to act like they're the best thing since sliced bread. The real guilds don't boast like that, and they never tried to be top tier. They just simply are.

Ummm your logic doesnt work, how can people try-hard on a guild if they dont put the proper thought in it? Unless im missing what the definition of a try hard is
It can be hard to keep up a guild even in your own world. Eventually most of your members go inactive, I know this because i have my own guild (I've only actually got like 10 people, but i know them all by name) sometimes having a small but close guild is better than a large one with with no brotherhood

I'll give it three weeks tops, just because you have 30+ people doesn't mean a thing. I've seen guilds with 90-100 people all level 120+ fail, Guarantee a majority of your new guildies will give up after a week or two and get bored. Prove me wrong (:

I'm guessing you're referring to the other thread?
There's a chance someone like that could keep up the guild, but it's way more than likely that most of those "recruits" will end up going back to their own worlds. I don't think almost any guild like what you're describing would last.

No doubt about that.
