Using Rapid Fire

I know the highest DPS combo uses final cut but is there a situation where you would use rapid fire instead since it is a ranged attack with zero delay? (i tested b/t rapid fire and hurricane already and rfire is superior because there is no startup animation so despite rapid fire having lower theoretical dps, it does more actual dps)
