Evan

Regarding population spikes

As many, if not all Evans are fully aware, the updates on the way are above and beyond what any of us could have hoped for in terms of attack buffs. We're always at the speed cap, our mobbing skills are amazing in damage, mobs hit, and the range of attacks. Illusion will be more than twice as powerful as it is now, along with more minimum critical damage et cetera et cetera.

I've seen some wariness as to this so called 'bandwagon'. Hatred towards so called bandwagoners, topic creators of "Should I liek make a Evunnnn lolz?" saying why they are not bandwagoners, among many other things. Before this gets out of hand, I'm going to politely ask everyone here to refrain from the following:

1: Calling someone a bandwagoner.
If they're attracted to the class, they're attracted to the class. Welcome them as a fellow Evan.

2: Referring to "Pre BB","Pre Chaos" pride, or whatever.
No one cares how long you have been playing. It doesn't warrant you any respect if you're a jackass in other aspects. This is also true of bandwagon paranoia, if you're a decent person, then you shouldn't feel obligated to say why you're not a bandwagoner.

3: Claiming that new Evans are the cause of inflation of mage gear
I don't expect the population to increase to the point of crazy inflation. Arans and the Resistance get revamped at the same time, Thief and pirate complete overhauls are not too far from our revamp, as well as Phantom's release. (If it does, we can blame battle mages anyway )

In short, Evans are Evans. Respect your class community, and be please be mature. Thank you and have a nice day.

If you go to the Evan achievement thread, on page 577 search for the wall of text (bs imo )and you'll see the kind of people that I'd hate to see more frequently in the Evan community
Oh trust me, the Evan community is one of the best I've seen in Maple.
I agree, that the evan comunity is the best and friendlier ive seen so far, I had my evan before all the revamps and stuff I just never considered a main untill recently when I got bored of the paladin and I can give the example of the Paladin forum; every 2 weeks there is a new guy usually lvl 12x-14x that he/she thinks hes the "paladin guru" or something and no one can give their opinions or say anything that is diferent of what he/she thinks, I lost my basil medals of never been reported because of one , who reported me because I told him that he should stop saying everyone´s coments are wrong and start posting his own ideas.

anyways I´m probably a bandwagoner too?, I had my evan above lvl 120 for long and Lved it and made it my main now because we are getting speed increase the slow attacking speed was annoying for me , because I was used to use Fast 4 weapons on my paladin.

TS is one of the only sane people on Basil.

Honestly, some people are taking this whole "bandwagon" wayyy overboard. People will see the new stuff and say "hey that looks cool, maybe I will find them more fun then before!" If they like the changes and decide to stay, that's how it goes. If they don't, that's cool too. I'm saddened by the way a portion of the Evan community has been reacting to the entire situation, I don't see why that is appropriate. We should be welcoming with open arms, inviting them, making them feel comfortable, instead of shunning, saying "you're a bandwagoner, damage hoe get out"

I've made multiple Evans in the best but I normally quit them around level 40.
Those that can level them up have way more dedication than I do.
I refuse to back down on calling these new kids bandwagoners.

I didn't see myself calling any names in my previous post.
It's the same bloody thing. You can explain to them their misconceptions without needless mudslinging -_-
Why can't we say they're not bandwagoners?
Because it's just plain stupid. The whole damn concept is "I'm better than you because I done this this and this and you're only here because all you care about is blahbity blah blah blah." It's completely unnecessary.

@Aziamo: Like I explained before:
to those who are worried about damage hoes: there are a number of reasons why Evans aren't going to be such a glamourous choice for damage hoes: Illusion hits only 4 times, they're still mages, so there's still going to be underestimation by many classes; And like I said before: Thief and pirate revamps are coming soon to a Maplestory near you after Union hits Evans, so dexless sins and shiny new phantoms I'm sure will quickly reduce the number of those looking for damage only, and not for dragons.
The damage hoes are NOT going to be with this class for very long, certainly not long enough to warrant this damn bandwagon crap. You'll only scare off the people who are legitmately interested, and to show just how far the community has come from pleasant people to those who think they can control who plays 'their' class by cutting down and labeling anyone who asks a question. You're NOT doing any good for ANYBODY. So knock it off.

Thank you.

Even though I consider myself an ILAM, I'd love to play on my evan more when the revamp comes and not be called a bandwagoner for it.

I don't really like band waggoners as they only play the class because they got super buffed. Also yes i am proud to be a pre bb evan why shouldnt I be. I played evans when they were extremely slow and inferior to other classes. Also now at lhc who is taking all the exp? Demonslayers and Mercedes. that does not only involve evans but every other class is losing exp because of these op legends. Evans should get a chance to shine also. Also doesnt nx mastery books scare band waggoners. You need MG or you will not survive anything. Those are just my thoughts though.

Yeah, so I'm glad in a way Phantom is coming out.

Amen to this man... .
I got accused by so many as a Bandwagon on my topic

Being able to fly seems amazing and doing the quest besides grinding is a good time waster considering the story is interesting
@DragonGaurd Well the word Bandwagon has popped up quite often in the Evan section lately. Mostly from the newer or returners but there are a couple older ones.
Though they're probably just joking. Hopefully....
That's because everyday is a new are evan strong thread, i want to hit cap damage, is evan worth it? they don't care about the storyline the playstile nothing they just care about the speed and damage that's all.

But i dont really care about bandwagon, we play this class cuz we love it, if they want play let them play, our community is one of the best actually so go ahead my little evans and welcome

Oh trust me, the Evan community is one of the best I've seen in Maple.

Except there have been prime examples of people making the class simply for the update and the damage increases. They really don't care about the finer points of Evans, like the growth of Evan in the story as you progress; some even dreading the very prospect of being forced to complete them.

Yeah, the updates will bring back some unfortunate Evans who could not handle the sheer monotony of leveling to 100. I welcome them, because they've always wanted to have an Evan, but again, could not reach the level where the fun really begins.

Then there are the damage obsessed, power-crazed, maddened psychos (How I prefer to envision them); who see nothing in Evans except for the DPM-topping attacks and unmatched speed. These are the people I despise, who I really do not want "infecting" the class that is Evan. They are the reason that every newly released class gets an abysmal reputation, who are hated and shunned (Though it's hard to shun when 9/10 people are the class, go figure).

Extreme exaggeration, but you get the gist.

EDIT: Though those Evans who do want to boast about being "original" and "non-bandwagoners" are probably all coming back to Evans simply because of the update also. Surely I'm not the only one whose noticed the huge influx of supposedly "returning" Evans in the forums.
