Why is Chief Bandit now a tanking class w/o REG. sb?

The regular savage blow is gone so at least i get to mob at blowfishes at aqua road in second job to lvl fast, but shadowers used Savage blow in their moving chain combo of attacks well into 4th job in maple history. Also, the bandit class is broken since the flashjump should only be activated when you double jump but it gets activated when you hold down the arrow keys attack and get hit by a monster, making your design for attack really messed up. Don't you think Nexon should fix the flashjump problem at least?

in my opinion midnight carnival is too slow that it takes the joy out of replacing it for a less clunky old savage blow that worked as a fasterer dagger whereas midnight carnival works as a fast only, or at least two speeds behind it. The old assualt is preferable to me than the current flashjump because it's more controllable to teleport with due to flashjump not being a horizontal slit through the map on the 2-d area. I usually chained in the old maple days, savage blow, band of thieves, and assualt, but now this is how much training looks like: https://vimeo.com/204495803

Not sure what you are getting at but I am assuming you are asking why they are a tanky class. At 4th job they have a skill called assasinate that gives them super stance (different than power stance in that 100% stance does not work on some knockbacks while super stance blocks all knockbacks). Meso guard and smokescreen along with a few passives gives them durability and damage reduction. Smokescreen can avoid 1hitko attacks and reduce the damage of hp% attacks. As for why savage blow not being used anymore. In the pre big bang updates, savage blow had a fast attacking speed that outputted high dps when chaining boomerang step or old assasinate. Nowadays, assasinate and bstep outdps savage blow on their own or when chaining a skill to savage blow. New shads dont really chain skills anymore, its mostly just setting up the DOT/DOT multipliers (like shadow veil and smokescreen) and spamming nate.

@fradddd Maybe the fact that Savage Blow is now a mobbing skill while Midnight Carnival only targets one enemy. Why chain a mobbing skill with a single-target skill as you suggest with Boomerang Step and Midnight Carnival.

@jaytokyo I really don't see how the meh speediness of a 2nd job skill would make up for it's lack of damage. Like, Midnight Carnival can't be THAT much slower. I guess if you're hitting max I'd understand but who the hell does that these days? Seems like bandit is the only class that loses damage to be faster even though it might not make up for it in most situations.

Ok so, unless I missed your point I have no idea what you're on about;

1. CB's still use SB well into 4th job as it's a faster way to get shadow instinct at 3 hits since it's probably the fastest attack skill a dit has. Haven't you ever heard of people macroing B-step then savage blow?

2. That has never happened to me while I flash jump. so idk that's on you.
