Whats the point of funding yourself?

So I was just thinking about it and I couldn't come up with a good answer
Let's say you are a average class, let's pick night lord, right now I hit 10k per star ( just an example ) and hitting 10k per star let's me, boss, PQ, afk, talk, craft, etc.
Now let's say I godly fund mylself, now hitting 100k per star, what now? Can I make friends easier? The only thing you can do is kill monsters/bosses faster...
So now I can solo pink bean, and I'm $1000+ poorer.
Bosses weren't originally intended to be soloed, and isn't it funner to play with friends?
So what am I missing?
-I'm not against spending money on this game, and I'm not against buying better equips,

Please don't flame/troll.

Time has a value too. For example, someone who reaches level 200 sooner due to funding can use their saved time to work at a paying job.

To wave your e-penor and boost your ego. To feel as if you are deserving of praise, worship and congratulation. As if accomplishments in a game (or even in real life for that matter) say anything about who you are as a person. Someday down the road we are all judged. Not by what we have, what we've earned, what we did for our own self interest... but what we gave back. Who we cared for. Maybe we don't fully grasp this now at our age and in our culture, but sooner or later we all will wake up to what truly matters.

Maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit when I say 1000$.
And you make a good point about the competition, but some people take the competition to the extreme to the point where you are almost alone in this game...
For example about the competition thing, if someone has a 10k range, and they are considered normal, then there's the next person with a 20k range and he's "above average", but then there's the next guy and he has a 200k range, it's like, I would be scared if this guy was in the same map as me!
Some people buy hacks just to get an advantage over others, and some hacks are ok, like the mouse fly hack, that's cute, its just for fun, buy like "god mode" "no knock back" "pg"...
o.o

youre missing the point that theres a difference between being funded and how you got those funds.
being funded doesnt mean you spent 1000 dollars on this game, it could be 50 with some dedicated merching aswell.
also an mmo has some competition in it and everybody wants to be good if not the best, so its just natural that people pursue having good equips.
