U could try to buy some cheap%ring like 6%

I'm thinking of selling my equips and going for an empress set. Is that a good idea?

That is really weird.. my dark knight at level 192 doesn't even have half as good as your equips, but yet my clean range is 42k. But my dark knight is 16 levels higher than yours..

*nods* I have a few friends that aren't 100% focused on just damage. It just leaves the person to be a bit......arrogant sometimes if they do just focus on damage. I mean, it's not bad that they focus on damage but if there is someone that wants to merch/upgrade their stuff 24/7 just to flaunt it at others, then that's not cool.

Now that I mentioned that....I might not post my updated range here tonight. xD

With all that stuff how is your range so low? I'm using a 137 attack Omega spear from 07 and other outdated gear like clean Zhelm, PAC, Dark chainmail, etc and my range clean is 37k. Maybe you should invest time into making link mules or other mules for character card sets. After further equipment upgrades o.o

@icedemon9: you make a point, how i see maple is that its not what it is or what it used to be anymore, some of the close people that i know played this game quit
so it leaves me no incentive to do very much besides care for my damage

I look/plan for the future because we will become much stronger (and xenons a bit weaker). The damage I (and other drks) do now will become 8-10x more later on ~

Plus, the game isn't all about damage in my perspective. @-@

i feel like im super underpowered compared to all the other Classes I see, lol its a bit discouraging seeing a xenon lvl170 hit close to 2m every hit

but i guess thats what drives me to become stronger

Well....playing with multiple classes is great since it gives the "spice of variety" in the game. That being said.....being able to switch adventurer classes after red is nice.
I choose the drk because I like drks over heros and pallys but that's my opinion on classes. (I might try those two later though) :b

OT:
The best way to increase your range....at first, I would say empress but that is starting to be expensive. If you can get the 6 set at least, that should keep you set for some of the early bosses. Heck, if you can get a 40k clean range before red, you can probably solo-ht with the 6-set empress in 20-ish minutes. ^^

I'm not a big fan of sets due to them being untradeable (I like moving equips around my warriors and such), but set effects are great and I think I'm missing out lol

I'm assuming that's your stats for your hero right? o-o I don't play any adventurer classes, but I can add a SS of my equips later on my kaiser.

Are you a strless drk?

Set effects and links are your best friends. May not seem like alot but 50 attack does alot more than my 30%str. If and when you get to 200, the alien fragment set is decent. You could also invest in some empress gears to get a decent damage boost, and as good as your PSB may seem now, other weapons will be superior like Empress/Fafnir. BUT FIRST, before any major funding goes in. Work on link skills and empress blessing and what not. 20% damage and 10% all stat will do wonders for damage.

How do you have 3k Str with only 82% while I have 180% Str but only 4k str unbuffed

If it makes you feel any better I only reached 20k range at 18x...but now I have 46k range at 18x and still have 3b left for upgrading

U should try to balance ur str:att. I have 40k range unbuffed and i dont have that much %str

You've got no face accessory,belt,shouler,rings or a pendant from what it seems. Get those first then worry about upgrading the rest of your gear.
I'm actually surprised your range is that low with your current gear.

Now, you should get a KoC to 120 for the 24 attack buff, get a kanna and da to 120 for the 20% damage bonus and a xenon to 120 for 10% all stats. Those would raise your range by a lot.

I recommend getting the silent crusade face accessory and chaosing that for attack,
As for rings, try getting evo III and the absoulute ring if you can. Also shoot for a 6-9% tempest and a pinnacle/unleashed if possible.

As for your pendant, I'd try getting a htp with some %str, if that's not possible then a 6-9%str pendant/ MoN would do.
Try getting a pinnacle/tempest shoulder with some %str, if you've got access to innocence scrolls, you could try chaosing it until you get some decent attack.

Try scrolling some of your items as well, whether it be for STR or ATK, either way the end result could be a little surprising.
