[header=1]Elite Monster and Elite Bosses[/header]
In this topic, we'll talk about Elite Monster and Elite Bosses.

Now what are these Elite Monster and Elite Bosses you say?
Well, they're not your regular bosses, that's for sure.

Unlike regular bosses, they do not stay at a fixed location. In fact, they can appear basically almost anywhere in the world and yield nice reward from time to time.

[header=1.2]How to Find Elite Bosses[/header]

Method 1: Kill regular monster continuously.
Now finding an Elite Monster and Elite Bosses is not THAT hard. It just requires you to spend hours killing the same monsters over and over again.

Make sure you are killing regular monster around your level, that is monster around +/- 20 levels of your current level.
*Note: Future Perion and Kritias are an exemption from the level rule for those who are more than 20 levels higher than the monster.
Once you have killed a certain number of regular monster, Elite Monster will spawn.

Elite Monster is actually just a bigger version of the regular monster, but much stronger.

Once you've killed the Elite Monster, you might have noticed a message pops up on your screen saying the Dark energy is still lingering around, making the place quite grim or something like that.

Just keep killing more regular monster to summon the Elite Monster, once you see the message says, "You feel something in the Dark", it means an Elite Boss will spawn soon.

Just keep killing more regular monster to summon a few more Elite Monster and you'll eventually find the Elite Bosses.

Method 2: Camp at popular training map

If you can't be bothered to summon the Elite Bosses yourself, you can camp at popular training area and keep changing channel, especially lower level area since most of those low levels can't kill the boss anyway, they will probably even thank you for killing it for them

Now I don't know which map to camp at, you should probably try to take a look at the recommended training location provided by @d0ublel0ser.

@daimoauz recommend Level 180+ at Warriors Ground and level 200+ at Corrupted Magic Forest 2
Circle around Kritias to hunt for Elite monster rather than Elite Boss more easily.

So now you must be wondering why should you go through such an ordeal just to find Elite Bosses, that's because of the bonus stage!

[header=2]Bonus Stage[/header]

After you killed an Elite Boss, the background of the map will change and look like a rainbow.

There are 3 different bonus stage

1) Box Monster
In this Bonus Stage, you'll see lots of yellow box monster walking around.

You cannot hit them with your skill, only normal attack works on them.
After you killed them, they will drop lots of random thing inside a bubble. You can just ignore it unless you see a purple box, nothing else is worth it. Do not waste your precious time in Bonus Stage picking up junk.

Your pet won't help you pick, you have to pick up by yourself, so make sure you normal attack button and pick up button is ready for action

2) Flying Monster
In this Bonus Stage, you'll see plenty of monsters flying around.

I dislike this stage to be honest, it's hard to get the item since the flying monster drop them so suddenly, it's hard to catch up with them.

You do not need to use the pick up button in this stage, just walk over the item that is falling down and if it fall on you, it will go into your inventory.
Like I mentioned previously, ONLY AIM FOR THE PURPLE BOXES.

3) Raining Bubble
Now THIS is my favorite bonus stage!

The bubbles will fall down from the sky slowly and float left and right. You can predict where they are gonna fall and get there before the item fall.

Like the Flying Monster stage, the item will go to your inventory if the item fall on you and you only need to aim for the Purple Boxes and nothing else.

[header=3]Reward[/header]

Now what's so good about the purple boxes you say? Why do I keep asking you to only aim for the purple boxes.

Well that's because the purple boxes gives you the best reward, nothing else really matter. The mesos and exp they give from those bubbles are minimal at best and won't make any differences.

Here is what you can get from the Purple Boxes at random:
- Protection Scroll (These are time-limited but they ARE tradable, if you're not going to use yourself, sell it for a few hundred million ASAP)
- 10% Clean Slate Scroll
- Accelerator (These are used for Action Pet which is currently unavailable at GMS yet)
- Epic Potential Scroll 50%
- Chaos Scroll 60%
- Chaos Scroll of Goodness 30%
- Bonus Potential Stamp (This is used to increase a bonus potential line, up to 3 max)

Here's something else worth notable about, the Sword or Shield bubble:
- Equipment (Rare-Unique Potential on Reveal)

Elite Monster drop these at a rare chance:
- Protection Scroll (These are time-limited but they ARE tradable, if you're not going to use yourself, sell it for a few hundred million ASAP)
- Shield Scroll (These are untradable and time-limited so make sure to use it ASAP)
- Master & Meister Cube (Tradable and time-limited)
- 5% Clean Slate
- Normal and Chaos Cubic Blades (These are used to craft Potential Cube)
- Golden Hammer 50%
- Equipment (Rare-Unique Potential on Reveal)

Also note elite monster drops are instanced so if you bump into one be sure to attack it at least once, and every one will get their own drops

Credit to all the awesome people in this thread

P.s. I don't farm Elite Bosses a lot and most of the time I only get Clean Slate, so if there is any other reward, please help me fill it
P.s.s. The reward list may not be 100% accurate but surely, the items you can get should be....
Unfair comparison, drakes has a much higher spawn rate and it's easier to sweep the map. Also if you were not in the lv range you wouldn't spawn it.

Also, the bonus potential stamps are ONLY from the chest bubbles, and I'm sticking by my comment about uniques being only from the chest bubbles (especially since I happened to get 2 unique equips by looting only the chest bubbles in the mimic hitting bonus)

Hey, I was going to comment, but I got banned from basil for 3 days because I said an nx rate for broa >.<

Anyways, the equipment ISNT from purple boxes. You get the equipment from the sword/shield bubbles, and they can come any ranking from rare to unique, with a possibility of bonus pot.

I'm 10000000% sure, I hunt bosses every day, know spots better than the spots you listed (that I refuse to release), and I've been hunting since the first day they came out
And that's what @stevenman76 said.

That's why I said I don't know what's what anymore since everyone keep going left and right

It could be possible you picked up a weapon or shield bubble when you try to pick up the boxes. You know how the bubbles all stack up together in that stage
... Just saying
This may just be confirmation bias, but I'm almost positive that some of my characters spawn more elite monsters than others while training.
Or that some maps have a higher spawn rate.

I was in Sleepywood killing all sorts of Drakes on my beast tamer and iliterally every five- to ten minutes an elite monster would spawn.
On the other hand, I was grinding on roaids on my Thunder Breaker for two hours and not a single one spawned.
Well, I believe some place do not have Elite Monster, such as Singapore, Malaysia, etc.

Maybe that place is one of the dead spot where Elite Monster do not linger around or maybe you are not within the monster's level range.

Just to point out a few possibility...

I use to farm a lot of elite bosses. Intermediate and basic most definitely drops from the purple boxes as well.
And also I heard the Cubes are actually from Elite Monster too.
Please confirm.
I can confirm elite monsters drop master cubes, not sure about meister :x

Also note elite monster drops are instanced (like root abyss) so if you bump into one be sure to attack it at least once, and every one will get their own drops (of the good stuff)

edit: thank you for this thread and everyone who replied, it was incredibly insightful
Purple Boxes give out Basic/Intermediate Bonus Potential Stamps, Master Craftsman's Cube, Meister's Cube. Elite Monsters Drop: Normal and Chaos Cubic Blades, Golden Hammer 50%s. Equipments can be Epic,Unique, or Rare ( and some will have bonus pot)
I heard Basic/Intermediate Bonus Potential Stamps are actually from the Weapon/Shield Bubble?
Everyone keeps telling me left and right, I can't be sure which is true anymore.

And also I heard the Cubes are actually from Elite Monster too.

Please confirm.
Ack, I forgot 1 more important thing: future perion and kritias are exempt from the level rule for those more than 20 levels above the mob level (aka well past lv200)
Well, I guess this is rather important, even for a newbie since you level so fast nowadays

Ack, I forgot 1 more important thing: future perion and kritias are exempt from the level rule for those more than 20 levels above the mob level (aka well past lv200)

also, a pointless thing but notable, when killing the elite mobs along with the small amount of spell traces/cures dropped, they drop potions relative to the mob level (like 70> they drop squid, at like 100+ they drop cheese and sunrise dews)
Oi you got some info wrong, its not exactly in your level range for elite mobs: it's +/- 20 levels of the map's mob's level (lower level mob's level if there's 2). Also you cannot get uniques from the equip bubbles: they also come from the purple chest bubbles. Also it's not potential stamps, it's *bonus* potential stamps (basic and intermediate only)

Also for the elite mobs, they can drop no boom 5% clean slates.
Alright, you sound pretty confident in your statement, I'll take your word for it.

@janny1993: That's why I mentioned if you're getting unlucky and all the boxes are dropping farther than you can reach.

Or a botter came in and teles straight for the boxes before you can get them.

@Aiirosama: Ah... ok nice, thanks

And what do you mean by limited to a week?
You can only get 1 per week?
You mean Meister Cube? Are they time-limited?

Ok ok.. you've convinced me,I'll add the equip bubbles to the list too as something worth to take note of.

Mind I ask how the equip bubble looks like? a toy sword or a shield?

You sure you got Protection Scroll from Bonus Stage? Not Elite Monster? Earlier, they were saying it's dropped by the Elite Monster.
If it does give Protection Scroll from the Purple Boxes too, then that's good news
They drop both master and meisters. Limited to a week.

The similarities shared by both elite mobs and bosses are that the bonus stages also have a chance to drop protection scrolls (also time limited). However only elite mobs can drop safety scrolls
Another point of note; the equipment bubbles can help, as everything you obtain from them are automatically Epic/Unique. Not a bad thing to go for if there aren't any ? boxes within reach.
Hm... I guess that doesn't sound so bad... but personally, I wouldn't recommend it and just focus on looking out for the purple boxes. Unless you can multitask

There is a saying, if you try to chase after 2 bunny, you will lose both of them.
