Am I the only one who does this? Am I insane?

I only seem to enjoy thief classes(Some warrior classes too) and I already have a level 200 NL but I have the urge to create another NL because I miss the grind of getting to level 200.

I feel like this one is going to be better than the last one for some unknown reason even though they'll probably have the exact same equipment.

This makes 0 sense.. But ima do it anyway. Maybe.

I've made like 4 Kannas because certain equips only drop within the monster's level range. Like the Knockout Boxing Gloves claw that Scarf Plead drops, those guys are like level 80 and I wouldn't even be able to find one on my level 201 Kanna.
But I also feel the same way in Hyrule Warriors, I wish I could level up Cia again from level 1. I don't know, I just find some enjoyment out of seeing the level up thing, and there's not much to do at level 255 besides pwn Adventure Mode maps, it gets boring. She's pretty good in bed, dood.

@traitor: Here's my thing with that, Although I will continue to level up on my main and get to 250 eventually I have this weird way of wanting to improve on the journey each time it's like I got to 200 and had a 900k range. Sweet that's awesome but what if the second time around I get to 170 and have 900k range doesn't make much sense from a perspective other than my own I'm sure but then at the point where I feel like I accomplished what I wanted then I'll continue.

I do advocate getting to 250 though. Proud of all ya'll that made it frfr.

@traitor Oh, I'm all for getting over 200, it adds more dynamics to the game for sure. Like you said leveling slowly will be possible (Im at like 206 right now) but sometimes its nice to see a level up more than once in every 3 weeks. Also those quests and things over 200 for the most part will level you slower than grinding, and may even be less fun. It's all based on personal opinion overall. I agree OP should continue to level past 200 but there's nothing wrong with going through the lower levels again if he likes them ^_^

ive made 6 arans. back on release day, couple more after that. Got one to 200 back in 2011. Got hacked. Made this one now which is currently 214 and my main. The best part about this is no other class choices in between.

So are you insane? Yes. Me and you both.

EDIT: @traitor: Idk his reason. But my reason is because our skills and uses are largely different from 1st to 4rth job. Double swing and combo smash til 2nd job, triple swing and fenrir til 3rd job, full swing and judgement(not really) final toss til 4rth, and then overswing FB tempest until hyper skill availability. They are largely different in gameplay mechanics and with how fast people level from 1-200 these days. It never lasts long enough to experience and "life times" amount of what people call their characters "journey." Most people can grind from 1-200 in a day with 1st job being as short as 20 mins,
2nd being close to and hour, and 3rd to 4rth lasting maybe 2-3 hours of different leveling areas and terrain. Back then in 2011 being able to go back and go from the starting point from mushroom kingdom to CDs in kerning square and so on till LHC was fun.

For me, it is not the same class, but classes that are similar. For example, after I got to where I want to for my Bucc, I made a TB and Shade. IDK I guess it's just because people like the class so much they're willing to do it over and over again.

I like mostly mage classes, but I do play some warriors, as for the other thing I created 15+ Evans, 2 f/ps, 2 i/ls, 4 Kannas, 1 Battle Mage, 5 Beast Tamers, 3 Bishops and one Luminous lol.

@xaiosun: I didn't mean that you have to hit 250 but what I meant was why not inch towards it? Leveling from 1-200 is also repetitive.

Even after 200, there are various quests and content to complete. It's just that no one bothers to do them. 250 is a long journey but what I meant was why not continue your character beyond 200? There was was definite level goal in mind when I said it so that's why I said 250, the leveling cap.

Even with bossing daily and doing whatever content, people still manage to level over time. It seems as though he misses the journey, however he does not have to create the same class to level to 200 again to do so.

You can explore forgotten content with a friend, help other stragglers who need help, complete quest-lines for the lore and more. Creating another character of the same class will be repeating content; though you may do it differently the lower level content passes by really fast.

You can also work to improve your gear or help others improve. You can see how you got from point A [from whereever you started] to point B [currently].

Again, level is just a number and damage is as well but it helps and makes things easier and what you thought to be impossible, closer to a reality. You might argue that things have gotten too easy to an extent but you can also do similar to what I did on some characters and tried to do things with just starter noob equipment and see how far I got.

@traitor I gotta admit, both sides have valid points, but in this case I cannot justify training to 250. Why does nexon insist on making the only good training spot the place you go from 160-250. That is more than the journey from 1-160*100. That is just an awful ratio.

@wall @raphie, why bother leveling to 200 on the same class over and over? when you can play the same class and inch closer to 250.

who the no life now? it's like I'm talking to a wall...

No you're not. I've made multiple of the same classes. I have more than 1 bishop, FP, Mech, IL, DK, and the necessary link mules over multiple accounts.

Here's a thought, why not grind to 250 if all you wanna do is grind? Is it necessary to make another NL?
