@krishman: i know the feel, but it just takes lots of practice D; doing studies of rly nice paintings helps learning to work with colors better

@juni: Ah, i do a similar technique, though somehow my stuff just doesnt look how I want it to. Maybe my colour theory just isnt up to par.

i start with a sketch then add base color, merge it into 1 layer. then constantly make new layers to draw a little on top then merge. im mostly using normal and sometimes multiply mode. it takes a long time ;( but i dont like using many layers because it gets confusing

@juni: Really interested in your colouring, what kind of techniques are you using?

@dominion: thanks, i think this one took 30-40 hours, it really depends on how much detail there is to do and how difficult it is so idk about average

@juni: Lord Basil accepts png now at 1.5 mb and you can use a program called "PNGGaunlet" to compress png file sizes, though usually it doesn't lower the file size significantly, but it still helps. Also I was joking about the resolution being bad.

original dimensions were like 3840 x 2160 so i cropped. maybe i should have resized as well

1500x1800 is bad res girl and you uploaded jpeg and that sword is tooo narrow at the tip it gonna snap when you smack it at something but it okay cause art donut need to bee 100,00% realistic, but you drewed that dragon with the sword pretty very.
