Mother 4 - Gameplay Teaser Released
As some as you may know, the fan-made project, Mother 4, has been in development for quite some time now.

Everything looks so polished and holds true to the Mother 3 art style. I'm glad they kept the music combo mechanism, I loved experimenting with it. I also love the aspect of interacting with enemies mid-battle to stall their attacks!
It's slated for a summer release, so hopefully they'll keep true to their word and release it by then.
I'm very hyped for this! Is anyone else? The team put in a lot of dedication for this one.

@TheZigen Actually, Nintendo has a history with shutting down fangames, and stuff, (lots of Japanese companies do actually, notably Squeenix) so I doubt it will survive the good ol Cease and Desist.
It's been a while since I last checked on this game.
They've made a lot of progress--good for them!

I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to collab with the project and sell it under the Nintendo license. I mean, I don't think they're too greedy or ~evil~ to shut down the production, they might be willing to use it to their advantage lol. I'm thinking in the context of cave story which was a freeware game for years before Nintendo picked it up, revamped it and now there's like 4 different versions of the game (so obviously they're making decent money off a once-free game) same thing, or at least something similar could happen with this if they approve of it.
Anyway it looks cool. I never finished playing mother 3 because I got stuck at one part where I was too under leveled to beat the baddies
I haven't played any Mother games before but this makes me want to get started

I doubt it. There is no money made and they clearly said that it was fan-made and to support the actual games. Also I doubt Nintendo would actually care/know about some internet fan game.

pretty sure they have consent from Nintendo since Nintendo said they would not do Mother 4 more than 10 years ago.
who knows, they might just slap a Nintendo logo on it and call it co-op production.
