In the last 70 years...
The UK, in my opinion.
Beatles, Zeppelin, Floyd, Who, Stones, Queen, Radiohead, Clash, Pistols, Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, Iron Maiden
Now? I don't know.
I love UK music.
America... I mean was that soo hard?
Yay, post-rock!
EITS are from Texas, USA, lol.
Check out Sigur Rós(Iceland) and Mono(Japan).
Thanks, I just started listening to Mono today.
Why does japan have such great post-rock. . . it makes no sense, lol.
Florida because of A Day To Remember <3
United states/ UK.
everyone saying japan has exceptionally terrible taste in music
oh my god
you are beautiful
Everyone's entitled to their opinions,
Mine would be Japan
Canada gave the world Nickelback. You should be ashamed.
They also gave Justin Bieber.
@Hera2:
You do realise that everybody has there own tastes right?
OT: I like Japan for J-Pop, Korea for K-Pop, America for Rap, and basically Europe in general because of techno, house, dnb, dubstep.
Japan makes great instrumental music.
Canada has the best musicians. Dont forget, canada has Justin Bieber and call me maybe!
Definitely Japan. Everything's there. Including video game soundtracks, anime soundtracks, your favourite anime openings/endings, dorama soundtracks, J-Rock, J-Pop, J-Urban/hip hop/rap/R&B, underground music for hipsters, Shibuya-kei, underground chill/hip hop/trip hop stuff, traditional Japanese music (with shamisen and stuff... you can hear shamisen playing in those old Wii commercials), Japanese drumming, Okinawan shima-uta, the Japanese version of shima uta (I forgot what it's called), easy-listening acoustic music, classical composers, idol group with a bunch of little girls, idol group with a bunch of tall skinny guys with the hair, visual kei (evolved from American glam rock) bands like X Japan and Luna Sea, foreign artists who sings songs in Japanese under Japanese labels (it's kinda multicultural actually; you can find a lot of foreign artists in the hit song charts), K-Pop groups sing in Japanese under Japanese labels, and more stuff. There's something for everyone.
USA, Japan, Korea.
Australia or U.K best metal imo.
Korea and Japan imo
Japan.
Why?
Zelda + Metroid music. I don't give a crap about rock, pop, or anything else anyone may like. Give me Zelda and Metroid music any day of the week and I'm a happy camper.
Damn right! Good job, nintendbro.
Well, I'm mostly a melodic/post rock kind of person, so . . .
1. Britain/UK/Ireland
- Mogwai
- Explosions in the Sky
- And so I watch you from afar
- Led Zeppelin
- A bunch more various bands I can't remember the names to
2. US
- Underoath
- The Fall of Troy
- Tool
- SOAD
- Rage Against the Machine
- Barcelona
- Bunch more
3. Japan
- Envy
- Miaou
- Maximum the Hormone
4. Canada
- Rush. . . They legitimize Canada, lol.
I am Korean, and I wish I could say korea had some good experimental, melodic music, but as far as I can tell, Korea is exclusively focused on pop, so I can't say I like any bands from korea. . . it all sounds like electronic crap to me, just my opinion.
I listen to mostly Mandarin music since most of the music I hear sounds soothing to me
Canada gave the world Nickelback. You should be ashamed.
I'm Canadian, and I am.
@YouOnlyLiveOnce:
One of the worst big stage "rock" bands in recent years. Somehow manage to make every track sound similar if not identical to the previous one. Obviously this is my own opinion.
Japan is the best
Germany, Germany all the way, yah.
Japan & America for game soundtracks.
For the other genres...really hard to say.
Canada, Korea, United States !
Swaziland.
'MURRICA!
Yeah!
Japan.

i can't really say since i like musicians/bands that come from all over europe mostly
i like plenty of american and canadian artists too
It's not the country that should determine what you like about music, but the genre.
However the region where the music is developed plays a huge role in the type of music... and how the genre is portrayed.
European Pop music is completely different from American Pop, or kpop(which is considered a genre of music i know)
Lol people aren't even supposed to be judging by genre. It's supposed to be by artist. Or the one song itself.
@mellowyellow: not even the genre, each genre has something to offer for everyone
