Is there anyone else that cannot patch the game at all?
I've tried everything. just hitting the play button to bring up wizet patcher (which has always worked for me), downloading the zip file and it then would refuse to even open. It insisted that there was no archive available, refused to open, refused to let me look inside with any program, refused to let me copy whatever was taking up 3.1GB of space to my Maplestory folder. Tried the manual patcher, but it said it wouldn't work with the last version of maplestory, so I deleted the folder and reinstalled completely. But now it tells me that i have to update to the latest version, and nothing is working

Dont download the enitre game. You should just download that zip file Nexon is putting up, actually you only need the map.wz. After you download, just run auto patch, dont run the manual one.
@Lecarde: Hmm seems this time when I re-downloaded it was a lot shorter but it says that this version is out of date
@RiverStar: I think that's a problem with your internet connection, the entire game (however many GB it is now) will download for me in under 30 minutes, and thats if I am streaming Netflix at the same time

Erm when I re-downloaded the game after a 2 year hiatus, it took more than 10 hours to be completed

Well it did work for me while downloading that 3gb crap or regular patching didn't
i dunno nexon is crap like always

I also have a corrupt map.wz... I never had patching problems before </3

@AntiSenpai: After I reinstalled, the manual patcher seemed to be working, but it kept stopping on base.wz no error, it would just completely freeze for over 20 minutes each time before I killed it
It keeps saying my Map.Wz is corrupt, then tells me to download the new patch then opens a link in chrome and then this puu(.)sh/eQ84V/83c41a8a86.jpg this is so damn frustrating, lol.
