Hard gollux as a Nl

I've always done normal gollux, but now I can self buff to 230k+ range so I'm gonna try to do hard gollux starting tomorrow but I have some questions

Does anyone know if you lose exp when you die at hard gollux? I need to know if I should waste rewards points on safety charms or not since I tend to lag and will probably die from it at least once

Which part of gollux should I kill? The abdomen, or the left shoulder?

How many gollux coins does he drop on average?

And about how long will it take if normal gollux takes me 2-3 minutes to finish?

Also, random question. I have been killing normal gollux almost daily for a few months now, yet I have not gotten a single solid gollux equip. Is that normal or are his drops bugged for me? I also rarely get cracked equips, usually its just coins

@Dorks: You need to stay in Dark Sight until the aura goes away. If you got killed it was probably from the ground explosion.

It's common knowledge (or at least I thought it was : ) that the key reverse won't hit you if you stand at the edge of the eye platform.

@Dorks: That's what I do, but when I lag really bad I can't always get to the other side before he attacks

I tried that once and died. I think you need to be out of range with the bomb which is very left or very right, almost at the edge of the second platform to avoid/behind the teleport thing. I even stopped getting reversed.
@epikkhighh, NLs may be squishy but gollux damages on a % basis no? So it shouldn't really matter.
@Lecarde: Use the invisible portal thing as a reference. The portal would be the middle, and take one or two steps away. It's trial and error but you'll get it. I still like to be safe and switch sides whenever he faces my direction but you can usually tell by his gem and/or eyes glowing on when he will attack.

I believe you lose exp when you get hit with the arm but it's honesty really iffy and inconsistent.
I've always stood in the middle to fight the jaw, moving from side to side to avoid his attacks. And that works unless I lag, and then I get hit. But I will try this way, how far away do I have to stand to not get hit by his breath attacks?
hard ish to describe. either watch a video, or you can test it by inching close till you hit his face. theres almost like a little root triangle on the left side you can stand in
I meant that in the context of Hard Gollux and lower difficulty. The only attacks that kill there are inhale, key reverse, hand, and ground explosion. Killing the left arm and fighting near the portal leaves NL out of range for inhale and hand. Ground explosion only kills during the eyes/jewel if you're on the ground, but NL doesn't have to drop down. As I mentioned, the key reverse explosion is avoidable with shadow partner (it only does 90% anyways).
In case anyone is wondering, the drops aren't glitched. I just got a belt and pendant this week.

its 50/50. you lose how much you would normally lose from a monster death, so ~7-8 %, or 0. i would suggest safety charms if you are over 205.

1. Sometimes I lose exp when I die. Sometimes I die 4 times and don't lose a single exp. I think it's glitched.
2. I Climb up the right side of the screen (i think it's called left shoulder?) because that means no hand attack on portal side of head. But some people like to kill ab for less breath attacks.
3. 15-20 coins
4. probably 15-20 minutes with 230k range.
5. I've been having same problem lately on hard gollux. Maybe it's a glitch? I haven't gotten a single drop in last couple weeks even tho before I always got drops.

I always kill his left shoulder and just stand far enough away from him to avoid all his atttacks.

You should be able to do it in 6-15 minutes. He drops anywhere from 16 to 21 coins for me.

I rarely get any gollux drops other than coins too, but I can confirm that they do indeed drop. You should be getting reinforced stuff from hard, but that's just luck based.

I'm not sure about the exp loss. I want to say that you lose 1% at most but I don't really know.

Good luck!
