Why do people post links to websites w/ parenthesis in them?

That's an example from just a few minutes ago, and I know everyone knows what I am talking about. If Bails won't let you post the link to the website then just use imgur. Not only is it easier, it just looks nicer as well. Why would you willingly use a website when you have to manually change the address like that just to be able to post it?

You gotta download their crappy software to upload a picture. 0/10.
@Lecarde Links to that site are blocked because it's NOT just a picture hosting site- it can host malware, viruses, keyloggers, executables with trojans in them.. ANY kind of file.
And it HAS been used here to try to spread that kind of crap to Basilmarket users. That's why it's blocked.
Using a picture hosting site to link pictures is the best solution, as you said.
All you can post on those sites is pictures.
The link you posted is a filter bypass and it would result in a suspension to anyone who posted the original thread containing it.
The worst is when you go through all the trouble to decode their screwed up URL, and the only thing waiting on the other end is some stupid reaction image.
Imgur is less of hassle you automatically get the image link when you upload it
Couldn't agree more. It's the most irritating thing. I just move on to the next thread when I see that trash
@Shusei: I know. What I'm asking is why people continue to use that site instead of something like imgur, since we are allowed to use those links. It just doesn't make sense
