Question about DAs

Couple questions:
1) what is the appropriate usage of the 5th job skill/how to use without killing yourself?
2)Does the potential "+30% to HP recovery skills and items" do anything useful for them?

Ive always called them swords because that's what they look like lol. So sorry that I'm not proper enough for you. And yah I haven't even attempted lucid. I know I'm not strong enough for that. As everyone wants you to be able to hit 400m on cvel to qualify for lucid. Which I do not. The highest I hit on a pdr boss is 300-350m on hellux.

@hattysoopro you must be new da since you call nether shield "swords" lul
@littletlk you can use in every boss but hmagnus when starting/lucid/lotus 1 phase only if contract is active and damien if you got good control you can active it
When that skill is active all healing skill aka attacks buff or anything will only heal 2% hp unless the flames are hitting something
i would not use hp recovery lines% because that's just wasting lines since mostly all your skills cure your hp

@hattysoopro:
I decided to co-main my DA recently and have only gotten to level 203.
I'm still learning this class. What do you mean by "throw your swords"?
And thanks for the tip about standing in your blood.

Obviously NOBODY in this thread knows what they are talking about. I'm a 229 da with 500k hp, 11m range, and I use it on every boss. The only time it sucks to use is on hmag. It's quite simble if you are standing in your blood, while hitting the monster, you gain hp. If you throw your swords, you gain hp.... learn to play your class... practice practice practice...

@valykire: I think if it was multiplicative, it should be less than additive. That's how it seems to work in this game. Except when calculating 2x exp/drop.

@piana: Wouldn't the 30% to healing be better multiplicatively? For example, additively, 2 lines would be 30 + 30 = 60% bonus, but multiplicatively, 2 lines would be 1.3 * 1.3 = 1.69 or 69% bonus.
Unfortunately I haven't tried this potential on a DA before, so I wouldn't know how useful it is either way.
