If i redeem this on a 200+ character, is it usable? not too keen to lose my x3 code

If you redeem it, it immediately disappears stating "you cannot purchase this item on characters over 200". I wasted mine thinking since I didn't actually purchase it, it would work. I wish Nexon would explain things clearer since purchasing and winning are two different things. >.<
Anyways yea, not usable.

I'm waiting for those 1 month 2x before getting 200+. Hopefully they work instead
