People still spend 500$ a week on maple.
I was roaming around henesy the other day after a 3 month hiatus, and I saw some henehoes discussing how much they spend on cubes. One of them admitted to spending about 500$ a week on cubes, and will spend almost twice that much in the next cube event.
Many thoughts went through my head when I witnessed this:
1) Their parents must be so proud of them using their minimum wage paycheque on maplestory.
2) There are alot of things in the world that can be invested towards for true happiness. A high digit count on a crappy korean game shouldn't count as such.
3) They're going regret living in 10 years.
Don't spend your money on this game kids, if you want to see really fast big numbers, go play cookie clicker or something.

In the mean time, I hope you enjoy gocking at your live's legacies in the form of 20 digit numbers and slightly homoerotic avatars.
If you live in Washington D.C., live with your parents, make minimum wage, and work overtime you can make over $500 a week.
But this optimal condition is obviously a lie. No minimum wage employer would actually pay overtime.

Why do people seem to "care" so much about what others do with there money and/or lives. It is not yours and will not affect you in anyway. Let them be and just deal with your own problems. Also stop assuming that everyone are poor who spends there paychecks on Maple, or that they steal there parents credit cards to pay for MS. That isn't always the case and really that's the minority of players in this game. The average age of maplers are 18+ which means they should have a steady job. Not everyone pays hundreds a week either and the ones that do are most likely the rich players, or the players that do not have huge financial issues to deal with atm. Lastly, if the players did not spend the money on this game they will "waste" it on something else. Other video games or more different kinds of entertainment. Think before you post next time and just live your own life.

Henehoes can't afford $500 a week. All they need is bright eyes, royal hairs, and some set of perm nx outfits and they're set for life.
If they have that kind of spare cash and spending it won't affect their living situation then I don't see what's wrong with them spending it on something they enjoy. Whether or not you think it's worth it doesn't really matter because it isn't your money.
Probably meant 500 a month or just trying to show off. I used to be like those people who complain or frown upon people who buy expensive sneakers etc. But it is their money, they can invest in it however they please. It's like saying for example, paying for a gym membership. Some people would invest in it and some will say it's a waste of money.

If it makes someone happy - mental health and state of mind >>>>> money building up in your bank account for nothing. A lot of people can't even find enjoyment in life. Spending money on a game is a lot better than facing depression.

500$ a week makes no sense for a minimum wage job. Either they were exaggerating or they make far more than minimum wage.
That being said, what could you possibly buy for 500$ every week in this game? Unless you're trying to fund every available job, 500$ a week sounds like a pretty massive waste(even for a rich person). Maybe they meant 500$ a month or maybe you're making the whole thing up because you're upset at the fact that you can't spend that much.
If spending money on MS makes them happy, then so be it. I see nothing wrong with it as long as they're not struggling to pay their bills and on the verge of living in a cardboard box on the streets.

$500 a week does seem like quite a lot, but as long as their spending isn't affecting their financial situation there is nothing wrong with it.
Lol because everyone playing maplestory makes minimum wage and lives with their parents. That is the most unaccurate statement I have ever read. I spend $200 a week on maplestory, $300 a week in bills, $100 a week gas, $150 a week in extracurricular things. Please tell me about my minimum wage job please.

i like this game therefore i also like the whales becoz they help delay the game from dying. i want to play maplestory for all my life time. i saw lots of hope from the previous marvel machine event. i hope more ppl spend more money on maplestory so it will be online for hundreds of years!!
