Guys so I got about $30bucks to spend NX on should i even bother buying NX or no? Like is there a get rich quick scheme? What should I buy? Or should I wait for something? Thanks for your input i appreciate it.

I played Dragon Nest a while back, and when their servers crashed for just a few hours, Nexon compensated their players with in-game items. I was completely blown away, but nobody else thought it was strange because apparently that sort of thing wasn't unusual. The Dragon Nest team compensates their players when they aren't able to get online for a long time. Then you have maplestory, where the game is down for almost 20 hours with no word as to why, and when it comes back online anyone who expects so much as an event extension is called greedy by members of the community. See, Nexon knows that no matter how badly they treat maplers, you'll all keep crawling back for more. But with their other games, they're not quite so sure, so they treat those players like kings to keep them around. :'3
I hardly even play anymore; I couldn't care less about compensation. I just think it's funny watching maplers call other players greedy for expecting something that other nexon game players receive all the time over similar hiccups. Masochism is one hell of a drug.
I think my friend is entitled to compensation. He psoked a tyrant cape right before it crashed, and when he logged back on, he still had the psok but the tyrant was gone. GG.

I don't really care if I even get anything, stuff happens in a massive online game like this, it's not like ur precious items or character got deleted. Even of nexon does give compensation, the 48 hr extension on cash shop items is already more than satisfiying.
At least we didn't get a rollback. Be happy the game is up and go play you gremlins

Oh don't worry, I wasn't targetting everyone in this thread; only the ones that seem to think they're entiled to some sort of compensation.

I'm not complaining. Personally, as long as there wasn't a rollback, I couldn't care less what they do or don't give us. A day or so without maplestory in your life isn't going to kill you. It really doesn't compensate at least like 95% of the players. Seriously.
Unless you bought 2x, or a mushie, it's really not a good compensation at all..
No 2x or even any mention of a free stamp for attendance. Just 48 hours of extension of cash shop items.

This wouldn't have gone this far if basil didn't disable new thread creation for the past like 5 hours... basil mods were probably annoyed of all of the "omg what happened to the game" threads
Without being expectant, it's reasonable to assume we'll get some kind of compensation. It's probably going to be a 2x event, along with a free attendance check stamp (or two), and maybe if Nexon's feeling generous, some kind of item or scroll. I doubt we'd get any kind of maple point compensation unless there was a rollback.
