i dont think + 1 attack speed IA would be that usefull for BT.
our scepter is normal 4 and we have a passive in beard mode that increase our attack speed by 2 making us reach soft cap.
then we can use meow card gold or green that gives 2 attack speed to achieve hard cap since i believe meow card break speed cap.
with those 2 buffs, were at 0 attack speed.
unless i am mistaken about our scepter and its actually normal 5, then yes, IA would have a use but it would be far more easier to either use green pot or decent SI

Do the numbers just show up faster or is there really a faster animation on hammer swings?

The best would probably be +1 attack speed or boss damage. Attack speed does affect furious strikes and the paw swipe attack but not the other main bear attacks such as trumpet and fishy slap. Other than attack speed would be boss damage cause beast tamer's have very low boss damage besides from equips and links.

How does Attack Speed benefit a Beast Tamer? Almost all of their DPS comes from Furious Strikes, Fish Slap, Trumpet, and Lil'Fort. None of these skills, minus the start/end animations, are affected by attack speed. Fish Slap and Furious Strikes (despite Furious Strikes requiring repeated button inputs) are essentially keydowns. Trumpet and Lil'Fort do damage over time. I could be wrong, so if I am please let me know. At first glance the only benefit would be faster starts/ends so you can dodge faster.

Crit is also a non-issue for any BT in Bear mode since with Phantom's Link Skill at Lv.2 you have 100% crit. Buff Duration is mostly a non-issue since most buffs are applied/reapplied passively. You could get buff duration for a longer Card duration I guess? This... feels like quite the dilemma.
