Because Sacrifice (along with Final Pact, but you know, 6 minute cooldown) is what allows Dark Knights to spam Gunghir, which is by far their biggest source of DPS. The lesser duration makes it harder for you to have the cooldown of Sacrifice and Beholder match up. (You consume Beholder to activate Sacrifice and Beholder has like a 60 second duration.)

It wasn't this patch. These nerfs will be around next summer. Gunghir does the same thing, it's just now impossible to have Sacrifice up 100 percent of the time and consequently impossible to spam Gunghir all the time.

@Momijii: Man I gotta log into my Drk and see what exactly happened. So there is no more buff duration on Gungir? What does gungir do now?

But that's really it. 20% damage loss from Crossover Chains (a lot, but nothing [i]major[/i]) and 10 seconds off of Sacrifice so it becomes virtually, if not in reality, impossible to have it up 100 percent.

I understand there are other indicators that 5th job is around the corner, but I am confused why people are saying that the Nerfs are because of 5th job. Nexon nerfed all the time without any indication that 5th job was coming.

Considering you still have better survivability than I do...

First of all, Drks are better than a majority of the other classes in terms of dps even after the nerf. Second of all, let's not be simple minded and focus only on the small picture. There would be no reason for kms to nerf so many classes without a good reason. It's evident that 5th job is coming. Wait until then to complain.
