@Ecliptic: No, that means it will be less concentrated by Japan.
Which means you might as well go there, everywhere else will be just as bad.
Isn't Fu kushima 150+ miles away from Tokyo?
I would post sources of Tokyo being a safe city for the Olympics, but all of the links are filtered on Basil (i.e. domain dotTO and fu kushima).
@NinjaOfTennis:
Radiation will spread out by 2020.
That makes it way worse.
I think they are trying to prevent that currently.
My thoughts? It's seven frigin years.
@NinjaOfTennis:
Radiation will spread out by 2020.
That makes it way worse.
@Ecliptic: Wrong. The radiation is being stored in water. Although a good amount has leaked, the radiation will be spread out by 2020.
And I think people are confused by the media greatly overplaying the situation.
I have even seen comments elsewhere of people calling this the Fuukushima Olympics.
That's like calling San Francisco "Las Vegas", lol
But if you do insist, please show me the proof about the lvels of radiation in Tokyo. Kthx.
@NinjaOfTennis: yes but the radiation is still rising daily
Even though it is rising daily they are doing something about it. Like Ninja said Fu kushima is no where near Tokyo.
@Collee- I do realize that.

@collee
You guys do know that Tokyo =/= Fu(kushima and that they are more than 100 miles apart right?
Also most of the radiation was apparently not gamma rays. And therefore "safer" sort of.
Tokyo's radiation levels are completely normal when analyzed anyways.
It was expected because it was the most economically stable out of the 3 and I highly doubt Fu kushima's radiation would be a threat by 2020.
You do realize that the half life of Plutonium (what they used in their reactors) is 80,000,000 years right?
Edit: They used Uranium 238 as well, with a half life of 245,500 years. Still not enough time to be completely harmless by 2020. But people visiting will probably fine, it's really only bad for the people who live there.
I wanna see some live action gundams
Japan
Lol it seems fun!
did they announce it on tv or what?
News, yeah.
It was expected because it was the most economically stable out of the 3 and I highly doubt Fu kushima's radiation would be a threat by 2020.
Fu kushima is almost on the same level as Chernobyl, I'm pretty sure it will still be a problem.
always wanted to go to Olympics
always wanted to go to japan
I must save up now
Considering that it's a very well developed metropolis and that it has a (relatively) strong economic power, that makes sense...
Well I'm going to be expecting some strange-arse commercials in some years
No they will not put on a good show because godzilla wrecks everything
It was expected because it was the most economically stable out of the 3 and I highly doubt Fu kushima's radiation would be a threat by 2020.
Radiation wooooooooo
thts gonna suck. to populated and crowded. also to much sushi everywhr
did they announce it on tv or what?
It's on their Facebook page
did they announce it on tv or what?
inb4 they bring out vocaloids.
Party in Radiation...XD
Damn, I think I'd be a year too old to participate in the U-23 men's soccer tourney without using one of the three overage slots.
