Same.
Um... just to let you know... Miyazaki's announced retirement about as often as Hideo Kojima says "This is the end of Metal Gear".
Do not take his announcement to retire TOO seriously.
It's his age that is an issue this time.
Keep in mind that all of the major Japanese TV stations announced this publicly already...
In any case, his son's getting better (like look at From Up on Poppy Hill, SO MANY FEELS), so even if we don't have Miyazaki Hayao anymore, we'll still have Miyazaki Gorou!
Yeah... and Hideo Kojima, upon multiple iterartions of the MGS series has said "this is the last MGS game"... and then he makes a new one. And Miyazaki has also announced retirement multiple times before.

I saw it during the summer, and OMG AFASDJIDUGFSDHFSLDJFJSDA:SJDGJASIDGASDOJFAJD:G CANON PAIRING I WAS SO HAPPY
Watch it
Jirou's dreams still have that Miyazaki fantasy so they're really cool
Like when the Italian guy says, "It's a dream, so everything's much more convenient" and climbs through the top of the wing of the plane...

Nice for Americans I suppose. Wish I could see them in cinemas.

WOW! HE'S AMAZING! I've seen like half of those movies and loved them. Sadly, I only recognized his name from two movies. I feel bad. I'll definitely watch his final film.
It looks kinda interesting for me as a student but I don't think it'll be that enjoyable. Could be wrong tho
Waaa :'( hate that he's retiring. I love his movies. Princess Mononoke is my fav! Still, I'm looking forward to this new movie.
Sweeeeet.
His name is soooo familiar. Is he related in some way in the makings of Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mono-something?
