Range to Solo Empress V2?

I don't know about Evans, but I've tried a couple times with Potion Pot but the bomb skill that Empress has was the only thing that killed me. For some reason, it seems to go through my Magic Guard, so even though I have like 8k HP and 38k MP, I see 11-13k damage and I die...
