Bossing After a 6-year Break

Preface: It's been 6 years since I've last played Maplestory, so naturally I'm very confused with the plethora of updates since then. I'm also not up-to-date on acronyms, so if you are generous enough to leave a reply, I'd like to also ask you to spell out the full names of items/attacks/enemies/etc. since I won't recognize the acronyms.

I'm a lvl 158 F/P Arch Mage. I want to know whether I should still grind for levels, or if I can start solo-ing some bosses to make some money (I'd prefer to boss if I can manage it, but I'm okay with grinding for levels if I have to).

Current Status:
~With buffs, "Damage" is 22168-23334
~Hyper Stats: I might have messed this up...but I put a ton of my points into Hyper INT. It's at level 7. I put 1 point into Boss Damage. I have 5 points left. Should I reset?
~Weapon: (Fire) Elemental Wand 5. I also have the (Poison) Elemental Wand 6 in case I need it, but I understand Paralyze is now a Fire-type move instead of Poison-type.
~Other Equips: Zakum Helmet, Horntail Necklace, Emerald Earrings, Esther Shield, Purple Adventurer Cape, Pensalir Mage Boots. All (except boots) are scrolled for INT/m.atk. I'm not sure if they're good anymore, but 6 years ago they were considered godly items. I just don't even know what is available nowadays though
~Skills: The only things I haven't maxed yet are Flame Haze (at 10), Infinity (at 10), and Maple Warrior (at 20) because I only have about 9-10 million mesos left and I don't want to use them quite yet (unless you guys think it's a good idea to go ahead and buy more Mastery Books).
~Hyper Skills: Infernal Aura and Mist Eruption Cooldown Cutter

If there's any more information about my character you'd like to know, let me know and I'll edit it in. Again, I'm not very familiar with all the new stats, calculations, acronyms, etc. so any help would be appreciated!

And once again, my original question is: can I fight bosses? If not, can I change anything about my character to be able to fight bosses, or should I level up some more?

Thanks for your replies so far guys! Good news, I recently discovered 50 mil in my storage, so I thiiiiiink I will go ahead and reset my Hyper Stats and allocate my points more effectively (and I'll edit the original post to reflect this).

Do any experienced F/P Arch Mages (or any one else) know where I should be training at lvl 158 with my damage? I heard that Road of Regrets 5 is good, but I'm not even sure what attack strategy I should be using. Should I be misting maps on two channels and coming back to kill with ME or paralyze or...gosh, I have no idea anymore, all the skills changed so much in 6 years!

this game is a big cesspool of throwing your money at the screen to get big damage and then being able to profit off bosses barely
long story short, ms is a waste of time if youre looking to make money without spending atleast 2 grand first

If you're looking to make money with bossing, I don't think you'll be able to solo any of the bosses that actually give you money. So I would suggest a mixture of grinding for levels and elite hunting to make your way up. Elite hunting refers to killing a specific mob boss that is summoned when a character within the monster's level range trains in the map for an extended period of time. These elite bosses drop a variety of scrolls, that can be sold for mesos to get you started.

Moving on to gearing your character, the best end game equips in the game right now are: Superior Gollux Set (with 2 pendants), Chaos Root Abyss Set, Tyrant Set, Reinforced + Solid Gollux Rings, Lightning God Ring, Black Tinkerer Shoulder, and a Titanium/Outlaw Heart. However, realistically, to obtain the above equipments will take forever without proper funding, so you might wanna focus on just getting the Chaos Root Abyss Set and Gollux equips first.

With regards to hyper stats, you'll want to put most of your points into damage. The damage % increase will increase your range significantly. but since your mesos are limited, I'd recommend leaving your hyper stats. (One reset costs 10 million mesos) Eventually, you want to have damage maxed, a few points into min/max crit. You shouldn't really have to put points into boss% or PDR (Ignore Enemy Def) since those are obtainable from set effects, link skills, and nebulites.

That being said, you should focus on grinding and farming elite bosses to make enough mesos to start funding your character, before we can give you more tips on scrolling/cubing your items. Another nice thing to know is that %atk>%dmg>%stat, basically saying that your weapon, your secondary, and your emblem will give you the most range (or damage) for starters. Good luck!

Yes, reset the hyper stats. To start with, you want to put damage and boss at 3-5 or so. Going past that things get really costly. I don't have a list of all the hyper stats, but going with actual stat points is generally a bad idea past 3
