Yep, I was raised to show respect. But as an adult myself now, I only give respect to those who have earned it.

It's kinda sad, I can't remember being raised to do much of anything, or even raised much at all, but i've grown to accept pretty much anyone, my parents kinda let me choose my own job career, that was about it, they also tried to make me be catholic and failed badly, I even argued on the way there and back, I wasn't really groomed to socialize with people either, which kinda sucks as I was born shy to begin with, just makes it harder, my parents would also fight a lot(every second day, sometimes even physical) throughout my childhood, which is why I had arguments all the time here on the forums and outside of them, I didn't even wish to partake in them, it's like I had no other way of speaking, I still have issues expressing myself and having these arguments, but i've gotten better at socializing through other means, and i've gotten less sad(if you didn't know i've struggled with depression for 7 years or so), even gotten less shy too.
I moaned in the school restroom, I had to take a poop badly.

I wasn't like one of those children groomed by their parents for those child beauty pageants. I never understood the appeal of them - but of course I feel like any sane human being would not understand it either.
I was meant to be a devout Catholic with a set of family-prioritizing morals (essentially a typical Filipino).
I'm the climactic opposite of that, so they failed miserably.
I taught myself everything I know from google
