Boss damage does work, they jsut have 30-40%dmg reflect, so you can't really tell. It's easy to tell they are bosses since they can't get stunned, poisoned or frozen.
With snipe, it shows 500k so i assume its a boss.

Not sure about the EXP of those guys, but I'm fairly sure you can, I heard they were only level 127.
