Old Ms Wedding vs New Ms Wedding

So I got married to my real life fiancee' in Maplestory, she wasn't interested in Maplestory but I was at the time and I married her under it (she actually was active when we did get married back in 2010).

So I noticed today (I haven't played since 2011) and looked up here to verify that the wedding ring effects were removed, but I was also wondering if there are any other differences before and after the Wedding Updates? Do I have to get married under the new system again to make it official?

@MissVP

Thanks for the info, I figured the easiest way to check if we were still married was to use the Spouse Chat, I honestly forgot about the Character Profile to see the pink heart.

Thanks everyone.

No, you don't need to renew; I got married on my bishop back in 2011 and I still have the pink heart on my profile showing that I'm married.
Some years ago, the ring effects for all marriages were removed; the new rings don't have any visible effects, either, if I recall correctly. If you want to have a couple's effect with your fiancee, you'd have to buy one of those temporary couple's rings in the Cash Shop.

I was wondering if I have to renew my MS marriage license because I was married under the old system.
gz on ur marriage and what do u mean ring effects don't work? isn't that the whole point of getting married was for the moonstone effect?
I was next to my fiancee' character in game and she nor I had the moonstone effects like back then, I assume they removed it.

Also according to the Poll, I need to remarry her account to be considered married in MS?

If you have a pink heart on your character window then you don't have to redo anything, you're married still.

tbh I feel like there are too many options for marriages now when nobody uses them.
