People hatin on other peoples music taste
So apparantly, any genre of music apart from hip hop/dance, rap, and R&B is 'gay'
Or at least that's the majority of people at my school think.
Personally, I would never listen to any hip hop or R&B artist (ofc, with a few exceptions), but at least I don't go around hating on other music genres which I don't listen to.
I listen to (mainly) rock, punk rock, electronic, trance, progressive, alternative.
It just grinds my gears how people say a certain song is 'gay' just because they don't appreciate the genre.

OMG RAP IS OVER-RATED. EMINEM/LIL WAYNE/etc. IS OVER-RATED, UNDERGROUND MUSIC FTW BLAH BLAH BLAH -insert youtube link to rap song that only has about 4000 views- OMG THIS IS REALZ UNDERGROUND MUSIK. THOSE ARTISTS ARE SO MAINSTREAM, MAINSTREAM -insert cool hipster comments ranting about how Mainstream music isn't good-. EW DUBSTEB WITH 4 MILLION VIEWS, SO OVER RATED -insert blah blah underground music-.
Basically the whole of Basil's music taste put together in a paragraph.
Screams are in a lot of music, not just death metal.
Trying not to be condescending, but open your minds, people. Listen to something other than whatever song is being forced on you at the moment.

Mainstream isn't bad though. Its just not... good, y'know? I mean, theres better stuff out there, people just listen to it because everyone else does. Well, thats what I think anyway.
It's the complete opposite on Basil. Apparently anything that's not underground sucks, and R&B and hip hop are both trash. Oh, and don't forget that mentioning mainstream music is a giant taboo on this site.

Yeah, silly people only listen to their mainstream. Like if they don't know the artist, it can't be good music.
Wow...they're forgetting all of Pop, Rock, Country, and so on...those are the good stuff. All those genres are good for a while till you realize all they're talking about is getting chicks and money.
all music that are love/hated are all completely subjective (opinionated), screw what other people think and be hipster. God knows you might even start the appreciation of that genre.
Just listen to what you like.
Also, you demonize people for dismissing entire genres that you happen to like while in the same breath you do the exact same thing in reverse. Now, I'd say that all the pop, "hip hop/rap," dance, R&B, or whatever else is on popular radio stations is complete trash, but as long as it makes people feel something it has some merit, right?
Anyway, yeah, the people that bash your music, screw them.
