Yes - I think the main site has a typo, it's supposed to be Ergoth.
[header]2) Where can I find Ergoth?[/header]
You can find him in any of the Knights of virtue maps - the ones in which your knight of virtue stone will begin to display a gauge at the top right of the screen, and a "hit" counter. Common maps which he is found in include: Kerning city mall maps, sleepy wood dungeon (drakes), ToT maps, Omega sector mateons, and more. These maps may be found by clicking the purple stone on the left hand side of the screen.
[header]3) Do I have to hunt in places around my level?[/header]
No. He spawns and drops an evil spirit box no matter what level you are compared to the monsters at the map.
[header]4) Do I need to activate the knight of virtue buff to make him spawn?[/header]
No.

No.

Blue text at the bottom of the screen.

Im not completely sure about this, but I think it is 30-45 minutes.

He drops an evil spirit box. From this you may obtain the following items:

The chances of obtaining the bigger rewards (Chaos scrolls, 100% pot scrolls, AEE scrolls, pet scrolls) is extremely low ([b]Between 1 and 2%[/b]) (I have got 2 chaos scrolls, 2 pot scrolls, 1 pet attack scroll, and 7 AEE scrolls from ~300 or so boxes.
You will not obtain Magic attack scrolls if you are not a magician (unconfirmed)
You will only obtain Accessory scrolls of your own classes stats (eg. Thiefs only get LUK/DEX scrolls)
70-80% of boxes will be potions
All rewards are untradable (except equips)

He only spawns from PST: 10am - 12am (thats 14 hours!)
He only spawns for level 15+
He stops spawning after 19th October

Unless you guys can back up your AEE/chaos/pot scroll finds with screen shots, I refuse to accept that the rate is any higher than 1 or 2%.

Then how did i manage to get countless boxes at lower lvl places like kerning mall?
If i let my lvl 4x gunslinger friend kill 70% of the hp and if i kill the leftover hp the box appears to him but not to me.
LOL I always get scrolls XD
i've actually had very good luck getting AEE's and chaos scrolls, I don't think they're below 1%
@one23abc: That's strange... I've fought the Kerning Square ones on my level 55 Aran and I never got a box O_O
My BL and I seem to get frequently decent rewards. I've opened about 15 boxes and received a 100% pot scroll, 2 acc for ATTs, and a chaos

Oh, really? I'm pretty sure there's a limit on the number of monsters that can be on one map, but I'll take your word for it until I test myself.
in windia everyone is grinding through all channel to find ergoth , i got only 1 AEE, 1 potential scroll 100% and some other useless stuff </3 >.<
I refuse to believe the chances of getting scrolls are low.
I've gotten around 3x10 reindeer milks, 2x10 sunrise dews, 3 chaos scrolls, 5 accessory dex scrolls, 2 100%pot scrolls, and 1 AEE.

No. I've hunted 100+ boxes from Omega sector. I am 100 levels higher than the monsters there. Also kerning square.
@above : pet equip attack scrolls are untradable. Confirmed.

you could always do the legendary spirit quest on that mule, and AEE one of your equips on it

I went through all 19 channels on a map without killing any monsters, and he still spawned on every single one.

Pretty helpful for all the people who don't understand the event. Eregos is how Koreans would pronounce it, as the s sound is the closest they have to a th. Same goes for Japanese and Chinese. And sometimes you do have to kill monsters to get him to summon, because there can only be so much spawn in a map.

Well I havn't really heard anyone ask "how strong is he?" Generally if you can easily kill the monsters on your map, then you can kill ergoth on your map.
funny...none of the drops have been pots for me. btw include kents in the list
