Barrage and old savage blow was so cool

I was bored and wanted to see how's like in the past so I went to YouTube and check old videos and I found those two skills are so cool. The character moves in rapid succession and it's so cool like one of those illogical anime battles that are cool nonetheless. So I'm wondering if there is any class that do those sick moves like the old barrage and savage blow? It's SO COOL. Why Nexon removed them?

Nexon doesn't like it when we have fun.
Just remember never to have expectations with them, when you let your guard down and think everything is okay is when they get you. Nexon Logic ,They just don't go together

@ackarred: What? All of our former skills were removed at unleash not Big Bang, they were slightly changed in Big Bang but the skills were fundamentally the same including i-frames

@ackarred: Ah, I slipped up. But I'll say by the time Unleashed came around the community had already felt much smaller.

Big Bang still happened, and it wasn't just randomly out of the blue either. Many people would say it was the key-stepping stone of it's popularity where it catered or started to focus on a smaller audience in GMS. Every other update after that would reflect the changes of balance or certain types of revamps or expansions.

I wouldn't say Nexon America has done the best, but they haven't done their worst job overall. Improvement in transparency and keeping up with making Maple better in the eyes of the community should be their focus and goal which they have failed to truly provide in the last few years. One thing is for sure, they're not going to throw the game down a steep hill just yet.

@darksword: "A Better Maple" was introduced when the Unleashed patch was live last year. The former Thief and Pirate skills were removed in the Big Bang, years before A Better Maple was even a thing.

Nexon intentionally removed or changed them as part of "A Better Maple" from the feedback of the player-base. Many of the classes had functions that only supported one play-style which was between mobbing or one-target. Now every class in 4th job has at least 1 of these two skills.

They may not have much of a difference in comparison to old Maple when there were only 4 adventurers, but they still have some identity that keeps each other different. Otherwise it'll be like Jett and Dragon Warrior/Zen in other MapleStory regions where they literally have a skill to swap because they're just re-skins of each other.

But that's just my opinion.

When they removed transformation, demolition, snatch and a slew of other cools skills I pretty much slowly dissolved away from maple...lol. Pretty much made a Bucc b/c I enjoyed the mechanics of that class, and I still do, but I prefer the archived skills. Just recently I came back b/c 5th job is around the corner and transformation getting resurrected. Can't think of other classes with similar skills...

It's nexon's idea of "balancing", to make every class play the same way. Nothing is unique anymore, dood. I used to play my Shadower all the time, but now it's garbage.
Maybe you can frig about with DB's Fatal Blow too.

I think DB's Phantom Blow has some pretty quick movements and I like the way Pallies spin around when using a blunt weapon, it reminds me of Climber from those old Law of Talos animations on Youtube. I do agree though, there's nothing quite like the old bucc skills. I liked that you didn't get like a flashy spirit animation or anything, you were just punching. It was cool.

@helpingly: I've been saying this since they changed the shadowers abilities to look like dual blades. Every ability is as sparkly as can be with generic movements. The sleek and more minimalist approach older skills had appealed to me more.

A lot of the cool bucc skills were the reason I made my bucc. I do agree that buccs had some of the cooler skills. However, most skills nowadays are just flashy and the character does nothing but cast them or fly around. There's nothing I can think of at the top of my head where the character actually has a unique animation or does anything like that. A real shame if you ask me.

Demolition was pretty awesome too. They were all cool Bucc skills because they gave i-frames and it was lots of fun, even if not very strong.
Not sure why they removed it. They could have probably factored it in somehow, but Pirates (particularly Sairs and Buccs) have been neglected and pushed to the side most of the time. Even 5th job is pretty meh in regards to their lucky dice skill and Sairs' new 5th job attack.
