Is Basilmarket dead?
Or Maplestory is dying? It seems to be less and less replies now. A lot of people are gone too, like elufu, helpingly, wall, ashleyattacked and some other users that have been active before. What happened? Did they moved on in their life? And yet I actually see the population in Maplestory is growing. Do most of the players use Reddit instead of Basilmarket now? I meant there's like 3~6 posts every half an hour there, and it's a miracle if you get a response here within 6 hours.

Dead? idk I'm not even active on here.. Maplestory went even more p2w after 5th job and uncapping the dmg.. I guess basilmarket was originally intended for auctions but none of that happens here anymore so
I'm afraid now.

This is like how people have said Maple is dying for the past like 7 years or so. And it still isn't dead.
Why is it like that? Because people have been saying Basil is dead for a long time too. And it isn't.

Regardless of what BasilMarket's activity really is, compared to other formerly popular MapleStory fan forums and websites (like Southperry or Hidden-Street or etc.), activity here on BM seems to be doing very well in comparison.
@ourania: yes, maple is more alive but basil isnt following, people now would rather use reddit and even official forums
i know my cousins and irl friends who play/played only look at maple reddit and/or facebook (3 check those places often even tho they dont wanna play anymore lol)
I miss the old Basil, straight from the go Basil
maplestory is much more active now, bm isnt as active true true.

@vicetone, Maybe 2017 isn't a good year for Maplestory. I think the decline started around November / December 2016, then it just happened.
I still see @helpingly here at least last week.
I considered basilmarket to be dead around 2010-2012, that's when I stopped seeing a lot of famous old basilers commenting.
Its not always like that. But just look at all these trash threads being made. Reading half of these, i dont blame anyone for not responing to what people post. This one included. Dont mean to sound rude but its true.
