Persona 5 is officially announced
So the game Persona fans have been hearing rumors about for a few years now has been officially announced today. There's only a [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mZssK05WYo]teaser trailer[/url] for it so far, but I for one, am excited. For a while there, people were saying it may have been canceled, with Atlus' parent company, Index, going bankrupt and being bought by SEGA, but it's still happening. It's coming out "Winter 2014" for the PS3 (that's right, not the PS4, still have another reason to keep your PS3's lol).

This is sounding like it's going to be the darkest Persona game yet though, and I'm definitely excited to see where they take this.

@FlamyHeavens You'd be surprised. There's still several games that are going to be released on the PS3 in the next year or so, that won't be on the PS4. It's just better business for a lot of companies. Like yes, the PS4 can do much more, but there's still waaay more people out there with PS3's compared to PS4 owners. So why spend even more money on development to also release it on the new console that barely has a user base. For the time being, the list of upcoming PS3 games is still longer than the list of upcoming PS4 games. At least until the PS4 has been out longer.
It always happens like that with new consoles, especially with Atlus. They released Persona 4 on the PS2, 2 years after the PS3 was released and it did great lol.

@Pinkton: I still need to play Xillia 1 lol. I'm waiting for Lightning returns as well. My gf just finished 13-2, her reaction to the ending was priceless lol.
And my favorite Persona is P4, but that's probably because of all the Persona 4 related things around, like the [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7lj9qI8VFc]Hiimdaisy comic dub[/url] lol. But overall P4 had a good mix of comedy and seriousness and I liked the different dungeons, more than the super tall tower known as Tarturus in P3.

Sweeeeet. I'm digging the fanart. I've only ever played two hours of P3 and I watched a playthrough of P4 so I know the whole story but I'm definitely gonna pick this up because I actually own a PS3. I wouldn't have minded if it was on the PS4 but I don't plan on getting one anytime soon and I've never owned a PS2 so I couldn't really experience the first two.
I cannot explain how excited I am in words. So I won't try. But hot damn.
