So how's Basil working for you right now?
Hi, Basilers.
I'm having one problem that's become common lately (sigh) and one that's new to me.
The common problem: white screens
The new problem: randomly logging out when going to another page.
Anyone else having those problems as well?
- In the mean time I found out more people are having troubles, but they think it's because of the servers overloading because of *breathe* more people checking because because MapleStory isn't working properly.
That sentence contained too many "becauses".

In theory any drug can [i]clinically[/i] be discussed, as though you're a surgeon discussing the status of a patient, but encouraging the use of illegal substances (that's the "diplomatic" term Basil Market uses for drugs) and posting personal experiences are not allowed. Unfortunately drug topics always turn into pre-drug vs anti-drug flame wars and diaries. :S I have to caution against making a thread.
I keep getting the white screen o death every couple of minutes or so.
It's working quiet fine for me, ty for fixing it. (and removing the "OMG maple Is Down111!1! threads)

I don't know if people are able to make new threads again, but it seems the maintainance fixed the problem some of us were having.

the only thing i'm getting on basil is my screen froze for 2-3 seconds when i scroll down
Basil just was down for a maintainance for a bit, so hopefully it's working well again.
I've been getting a white screen on and off but it's because of the issue with MS, everyone is flooding the site to see whats going on and out of being bored
It was happening to me like an hour ago, not much now.

Meh, before that I had a Kung Fu braid. Now that thing make me look like some combination between Li Mu Bai and a gangster wearing a golden bra (I was in my 60s).
I just got "Google Chrome cannot locate this website", was kicked out again and then got the confusing-yet-harmless "You have been doing something you should not have been doing" or what was the exact text again. I should copy it and use it as a mod comment, that'd be fun. o_O
EDIT: A site that checks whether websites are up or not just said some of its servers are having trouble gaining access to the site.

Nope. I'm actually doing fine. Basil's loading good, no white screens, no logging out, best it's worked in a few months, tbh. o_o

We're not really having problems, or so I would say, as it would seem otherwise.
Basilmarket has always had downtime at 2am and 2:30am EST because of cleaning out the servers cache. Or whatever. It's common site maintenance. It wouldn't be uncommon for the problem to happen at 2pm and 2:30pm EST as well, since it's essentially the same time, just PM. Many sites do multiple maintenance per day.
As for being logged out randomly, this is because the way Basil is set up, which logs out a user if he/she is logged in on another location. For example, if I'm logged in on my computer, but then at work I log into my account, my computer at home will be logged out. What could possibly be happening is that either the user is logged into two places at once and doesn't know it (a friends house, another computer on the network, a mobile phone, etc). This will cause the user to randomly log out until he/she logs out of the other source. If this isn't the problem, the only other explanation I can give is that the account in question is getting hacked or logged in from another area at the same time. A simple password change will fix this problem if it is the problem. Of course, it can also be a problem with the site.
