Hayato

The fun way to use Battoujutsu Dash

featuring Shinsoku and Falcon Dive.

There are so many ways Hayatos can travel through towns. One may use Flash Jump, others might prefer Surging Blade, Dankuusen, Hitokiri Strike, or a mix of all three.

And then there's this.

@evobattalion: ...Aww, damn. Well at least we finally know for certain why it wasn't working. That blows though.

@repentant: Hey there, i've reported a bug and MSEA replied the following:

"Upon checking with the technical team, the mentioned Hayato's skill is working as intended. Do note that the skill delay is intended to avoid exploitation."

Now my hayato is just rolling about with BD -> Falcon Dive -> Whirlwind Cut -> Dakkussen -> Hitokiri Strike.

@evobattalion: My optimistic side keeps telling me it's too soon to say that, but at this point I'm not sure what other explanation there is. I'll keep looking into it and I'll let you know if I find any new information. But for now, best of luck to you, and I hope you have plenty of fun with your newly revamped Hayato!

@repentant: cool video. Yes I think i agree with you on this one, MSEA probably have a different revamp. I've tried what you mentioned and my falcon dive still has a big delay (i.e. does not become spammable like in the video.

Oh wells.

Thanks for your help man!

@evobattalion: I suspect MSEA might have done their revamp a bit differently. I hope this isn't the case, but there's a chance Falcon Dive might not have compatibility with Shinsoku at all. Just to be sure, try this little test:

Turn off Quick Draw stance and spam Falcon Dive and Shinsoku together. It should look something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST_Bv-w8SC0&feature=youtu.be&t=430

See what happens. If the end-lag is still there, then that means the combo won't work no matter what you do. If you end up with something like in the video, then the problem lies somewhere else. Though I'm not sure what else it could be. This is really odd.

@repentant: Hey there, i've tried today and checked my sticky keys. they were turned off

It didn't work properly still. I have tried your other combo on the Vapour blade -> Shinsoku -> Battoujutsu Dash ("BD&quot and it works though.

Just to share my keyboard setting, for the 3 skills: "x" for falcon dive, "d" for BD and "End" for Shinsoku.

To me it just seems like Shinsoku was unable to cancel any end lag for falcon dive.

So sad that I couldn't pull off such a cool move for Hayato travelling

@evobattalion: Hmm, that's weird. It could be your keyboard settings. I had a hard time trying to combo skills when I turned Sticky Keys on - particularly with skills bound to CTRL, ALT and SHIFT - but everything went back to normal when I turned it off. Are your Shinsoku, Battoujutsu Dash and Falcon Dive hotkeyed to any of those keys? I tried it just now, and the combo had really awkward delays (sometimes it wouldn't work at all) as soon as I turned it on. If Sticky Keys are on, try turn it off and the combo should start working. Let me know if it doesn't work and I'll keep trying to think of something.

Maplesea just got the revamp yesterday. But ive been trying this combo all day and its not working well. Any tips?

In short, my shinsoku does not cast when i double tap it just before falcon dive ends. Maybe it has to do with keyborad settings?

@trumpet205: Hehe. On the step where you use Shinsoku, make sure to start tapping Shinsoku twice right before Falcon Dive's animation ends.

@muffinsinc: Absolutely! Shinsoku works with Vapor Blade too. Simply pressing Shinsoku after Vapor Blade will remove Vapor Blade's aerial "pose", allowing the use of Battoujutsu Dash right after Vapor Blade. Another neat combo I picked up yesterday:
Battoujutsu Dash -> Vapor Blade -> Shinsoku -> Battoujutsu Dash. http://i.imgur.com/xlJ7rmM.gif
That second Battoujutsu Dash wouldn't normally be possible, but thanks to Shinsoku, you can use Battoujutsu Dash twice in a short window of time.

I never would've thought Shinsoku would have so many creative applications. Its skill chaining potential is really powerful.

Using shinsoku to cancel falcon dives endlag has to be one of the funnest things about this class. It opens up so many different ways to move around.
That was beautiful.
