Mass-Hacked Accounts

Good evening Basil!

Quite recently there's been a huge mass-hackings that I've heard about and had friends/guildies/ally-members I was wondering what is up and has anyone not seen this around? I'm quite surprised that there hasn't been many threads about this.

Some of the info I know, and gathered is that:
-[b]The hack involves getting a person's email account (Know/fact):[/b] I've heard from countless of the hacked people tell everyone that their email accounts are either deleted or some/most emails were deleted. Now I know that with the email of someone's account that's linked with Maple, you can easily change the PIN; deleting an a crap ton of emails like that is either that this hack has gone widespread and there's some stupid script kiddies out there or they're stupid.

-[b]Chat invites (gathered info/rumor):[/b] I've also heard that there were people getting chat invites from the hackers; yeah, I was gonna just cast this off to social engineering, but some people say that the hacker is giving out a code and with the code they're getting all this info which seems just so non-nonsensical to me, but thought I might just put it out there and see if this gets any attention/ideas.

-[b]Skype (gathered info):[/b] I do know that things you do in Maple like a chat invite or trading and yada-yada isn't enough to steal someone's email, and so isn't Skype chats either, but one of the guildies that got hacked recently told us a few days ago some random person wanted to buy something and was gonna pay something via Skype chat. She accepted the buddy request and got the vibe that it wasn't legit, but her MS was really really laggy with lots of d/c issues. She said it wasn't until she deleted him off the Skype-BL that the lagg/d/c stopped. I think it might be just timing the d/c locker got tired and stopped, but a lot of people who got hacked do use Skype. There was also the story back on:

that probably was used something involving Skype to communicate the Paypal trade or what not. Maybe something might be wrong with Skype, or not...

-[b]Microsoft call (personally happened):[/b] When I was going home back last weekend I got a peculiar call from an unknown number, but ending up being from Microsoft. It wasn't until I took out my laptop and saw for myself that someone was trying to exploit my computer aggressively to steal information from some offline computer-windows8.1 event checker. For a long time actually, I only afk'd on MS really and read some mangas/news articles, checked some blogs/facebook, and talked on Skype once or twice, but after that didn't do much with my computer due to school. But anyways, I immediatly just repartioned my drive and so far I've been pretty safe.

I was thinking, okay maybe it might be a Java-driveby or a RAT, but the fact that it's been so widespread to the people around Scania here, that this isn't just some local attack, but some sort of exploit in some site that we all go on normally. Plus there's lots of people that I know who've gotten hacked doesn't run things without giving a second look, so it really boggles my mind that this person is doing this at such a sneaky manner.

Anyways the [b]tl;dr[/b] I don't know about you guys, but there's a lot of hacking going on and what the ph. is up... f7 I mean like whatever if you use a bot to gain some levels or you wanna float around the map and mass kill everything, but the fact you're such a kleptomaniac to steal from not just young-adults/adults, but little kids is pretty bad...

[b]Also please,[/b] if you were hacked where your email was being taken, it's not a bad idea to get an OS disk and wiping out your computer. I know that we don't know much about this hack yet, but if it's a RAT/Java Driveby, they're watching your keystrokes so changing any passwords is really just futile.
