Maximizing Maple Security?

Good evening guyss.

Alright so researching around the different Maple communities, I still feel a little unsafe about Maple-security per-se; there was a thread a couple of months ago where some guy got a RAt out of nowhere to his claims! I'm running BitDefender (is this good enough?) as my firewall, not a victim of social engineering, and not downloading or surfing random url's, but I'm still looking for ways to maximize the security of my account.

Back in the day, I was hacked because of the MTS leak and I was hacked even once more after that even with a pretty complex password. I do have a pretty long password now, that is jumbled with mixed special characters, numbers, and my pin is alright, but I'm still a bit skeptical. Any suggestions on how some people (i.e. the top 20 gMS Mapler's) are keeping unwanted fingers into their accounts?

Also with virus scanning, I've heard that there are certain keyloggers and RATs that can't be detected with virus scanners; can someone clear the mist of this?

Also do any of you guys sandbox your Maplestory? I was wondering on what the best sanboxing program is out there for Maple? Also regarding on sandboxing, which I get a minor gist of, does this also protect from direct d/c hacks as well? From my understanding of how d/c hacks work is that there's an influx of number of requests sent to the victim and crashes their client. If a sandbox program isolates the Maple program itself, wouldn't it protect against d/c hacks?

Thank yous in advanced!

@Redadin: I think that's it. I knew it had to do with something with the word "random"

But you won't get these programs if you don't go on anything suspicious.
Ya someone explain how you could get hacked if you don't visit any bad or shady websites and don't give away information to anyone.
I heard of a way before, I just forgot. It was a long time ago...
It's called brute forcing, and if you're password isn't 11-12 characters (minimum) of mis-matched number, letters and symbols well you might be in for it.

Hacking programs (once someone knows your email for example) using a common GPU can quickly go through every word in the dictionary in a VERY short amount of time, if you happen to have an easy password like abc123 OR if you have a password that is a real word you're in trouble if that happens.
After it exhausts easy common passwords and real words the programs will attempt to brute force by going through random variables as fast as it can until it finds the password it's looking for.

11-12 characters minimum with mixed symbols, letters, numbers can mean that it could take up to seventeen thousand years to crack.
But 5 letters can make the cracking take up but only four seconds.

@setget: Are you sure? Again idk, but I'm partly sure that Facebook itself doesn't give you the virus, but the ads are triggers.

With that, Facebook doesn't give you virus, but the ads could.

viruses can be auto downloaded from anything, even going on facebook can give you a virus, however, facebook normally blocks it before it can spread too far.
