I just finished that and still lost, so i understand that he didn't the allow the LCL to take over everyones AT fields.
Then he after the bs of his understanding of life or some crap he wakes up in the red water (im guessing thats LCL) and lays beside the girl then starts chocking her then he stopped when she touched him and she said pathetic. Then that's all...
NGE's ending = in Shinji's Head
EoE = what was happening physically at the time of NGE's ending
it's still not a magical "I understand everything!" button
