How to install windows 10 Fix for the 80240020

A lot of people are having issues with updating to windows 10, I heard people from different regions are experiencing different issues, I can only confirm this works in North America (Canada, America)

First Method: High success rate
1. Go into "C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload" and delete everything in that folder.
2. Now, run the command prompt as an administrator. Type in "wuauclt.exe /updatenow".
3. Go to your Control Panel > Windows Update and your Windows 10 should start re-downloading from scratch, hopefully without flaws this time.

Second Method: Download manually (Also check your email if you reserved a spot)
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
* Make sure you have:
* An internet connection (internet service provider fees may apply).
* Sufficient data storage available on a computer, USB or external drive for the download.
* A blank USB or DVD (and DVD burner) with at least 4 GB of space if you want to create media. We recommend using a blank USB or blank DVD, because any content on it will be deleted.

Third Method: Call windows tech center and they'll do it remotely
USA: (866) 833-7088
Canada: (800) 876-8533.

Fourth Method: Your laptop could not meet the requirements.
If you're computer doesn't at least have 20 gb then you might run into problems.
Back up your stuff on TB drive and set a restore point.

Fifth Method: Buy a new computer.

Good luck ya'll.

Edit: btw this takes a really long time to download and install whether you have fast connection or not. Remember to put your computer in high performance mode and make sure it doesn't go into sleep mode while downloading and especially while installing for some reason it might do that, make sure battery doesn't die or else you'll be faced with blue screen.
i read on reddit windows 10 has alot of privacy concerns; they collect and send your personal information and user habits (to other companies?)
i'll stick to windows 7 until i can turn all that crap off.
Every site you go on collects data about you, every social network, every forum site, every time you send a text, make a phone call, heck everytime you use your credit/debit card anywhere. They collect data on you, it doesn't matter anymore. Tailored ads has the world some good and no longer blindly advertising crap to you, just like how google has access to the data whenever you any of their services. So privacy has been thrown out the window a long time ago. Who cares if one more company has some info on you, unlike corporate giants like facebook or mircosoft sells this data, they actually use it for their benefit and to benefit you.

Oh and on windows 7 its only some of the services not all, just like windows 10.

Is it really better than 8? I used 8 a few times and I absolutely HATE it.
