A Ghost from the Past Hey Basil, been a while. Hope y'all doing well. I'm finishing my junior year pretty strongly, got a whole bunch of stories I would love to share, but for now I'll just give you this little one. I've been dating this girl for 2 and a half months now. She's cute, she's Asian, and she's from Brooklyn -- the trifecta. We got to talking early in the relationship about what we did in high school, as we were both kind of losers. She mentioned she used to play MapleStory, right? So I was like, "Oh man, MapleStory -- that was my thing in high school." I asked her if she knew what Basilmarket was. She said she did. I asked her if she ever posted on the forums, and she said no. And then she asked me if I ever did, and I laughed t

It's Her 18th Birthday Today is her 18th birthday. This is the day I should have been with her. Oh well. :^) Hope she's having fun. I had a great day today. Firstly, my friend has the same birthday as her, so that was interesting. Wished her a happy birthday and it was great. Despite having four hours of sleep, I managed to destroy my last economics midterm and get an A in the course. After that midterm, I had lunch with my old roommate and it was great. Then I went to my other economics lecture where I got a shout-out in front of the whole class because of what I said the first day of class. My amazing professor was giving a whole farewell speech, telling us that we're all intelligent (despite the class average being in the 50's) and that

The King Is Back Hey Basil :^) How's everyone doing? I finally got access to my Basil account on my computer again. :^) Anyway, a lot of new things have been happening to me. And ya, I could tell you all about how the first half of this semester has been going with my straight A's and all my friends and how there are dozens of girls who probably like me and how I joined a dance team and how I've been hooking up with two NYU freshmen whenever I'm back in Brooklyn and how my best friend on the floor just broke up with his crazy gf who I hate and how I've been trying to grow out my beard but it's not that great but people still compliment it and and how I've been guiding all the freshmen in my floor on all of first semester experiences and how

Psst Its Ritopls I can only log into Basil on my phone. Anyway, college is lit. I made mad friends and see people from last year always. Let me tell you a story about this freshman girl who lives in my building. Last night, I was chilling in the lounge and mad freshmen are watching a movie. This freshman girl and I were talking, cuz, you know, I'm an older, super cute guy with a car. Anyway, she was like, "My high school friends and I are going to the mall tomorrow. You should come." I was like, "Alright bet." I wake up at 9 am, then hit the gym. I text her at 11:15 being like, "So when are we hitting this mall?" I thought she'd reply after like 20 minutes, thinking they'd go at like 1 or 2, so I went to shower

Back from Another Date with Chinese Girl I brought her all the way to Stony Brook and gave her an exclusive tour of the campus complete with all of the secret places I know. All the freshmen and international students have moved in already, and I saw some real talent for me to find tomorrow. Anyway, we met up around 5. We kissed (on the lips) and then she grabbed my hand and held it all the way to the car. Then we drove for 90 minutes while listening to my dank beats and just chilling. She held my hand about 30% of the ride. Then we took the tour and we sat on a bench near the pond in one of the quads on campus and made out. Then I took her to 7-11 for Snapple. Then we went to a diner and we were the only customers. Then I showed her how to

Im a Pretty Funny Guy I was talking to the black girl I've been seeing all summer today. We're at the point now where we're not just hanging out and having fun, we're like learning about each other's lives and getting a more intimate emotional connection. We were talking about what colleges we applied to when we were in high school because she goes to school in Canada when she's from Brooklyn. I mentioned how I got rejected from my #1 school which was Stanford and it broke my heart. She said how she's always wanted to go to the West coast and see some stuff because she has a few friends in LA (a whole 2) and she said that they seem to have lots of fun there. I told her how I went to California (near Oakland) March of last year to visit my e

Kissing Girls with Ritopls Hey Basil, just got back from my date with a qt Chinese girl. Indeed, it was a solid 4 hours of my highest quality work: constant conversation, constant comedy, impressive driving -- I even paid the whole $27 bill for dinner. Now this girl and I have hung out a few times last semester, but have only been on the hug level for some time. Because, truthfully, the kissing level seems to be the biggest barrier. I feel like anything up to a hug is easy to get and anything past kissing is easy to get once you've established the kissing level. I'm sure this isn't the case for all, but I'm not the most suave person yet when it comes to that stuff. Anyway, we're driving back near my house and I offer to drive her to the tra

Surviving College with Ritopls First thing's first, I need you to listen to this song while you read this thread. Okay so it's that time of year again: back to school. Some of you have probably started, but the rest of us start next week (I go back on Sunday). I thought I pass the vast knowledge I've picked up from my 2.25 years of college down to those who may not know what to expect, or maybe are just a little nervous about the huge transition they're about to make. Alright so let's get some quick and EASY tips going. I'm not going to give you those cheap tips like "look for textbooks online instead of the bookstore," or "don't do drugs," -- these are some Q U A L

Im Finally a Normie Gone are the days of spending hundreds of dollars and hours on video games. With the car I picked up today, I am master of my destiny. Every door is open; all bets are off. Instead of buying Hearthstone packs, I feel the need to buy gas and saving the rest of my money for going out. I already made a bunch of plans. Tomorrow I'm driving to my school to chill with my best friend. On Tuesday, I'm going with this girl to a mall she's never been to before. Then on Thursday, I have a date with this Chinese girl who goes to my school. I finally made it. :^) Never give up guys.

Bernie Sanders Almost Ruined My Date This black qt and I were chilling in Prospect Park listening to some Jazz. We were pretty drunk btw. We were having small talk and I was telling her about how I had jury duty back in June. She was like, "You're registered to vote?" And I was like, "Nah they got me off the driver's license." Then I asked her if she was, and she said no. I was like, "You better get on that -- gotta vote for Trump." She made a face and I was like, "Oh, don't tell me you're more of a Hillary girl." She was like, "Actually, I'm more of a Bernie Sanders girl." I said, "Alright. If I were a democrat, I'd go for him, but Donald Trump is the man." She was like, "Are

Lets Say We Wanted to Sell Candy Bars We're managing a candy shop and we'd love to attract customers to try our candy bars. Personally, we're a fan of them. We believe in the product. Let's assume the market is 100% women. Through all of this, we are assuming we will have at least one customer, no matter what strategy we choose. Also, don't forget that a customer could tell her friends about our candy bars if our candy bar compels her to do so. Our marketing department presented three strategies to advertise our lovely candy bars: A. We say that these candy bars are the best candy bars known to man. Considerable research was put into the recipe for these candy bars and the outcome is the greatest candy bar anyone will ever have in her life.

I Bought a Car Today The second official day of car shopping. My mom and I drove to New Jersey, Connecticut, and Long Island just to look at 4 cars. We had insurance cards for all 4 cards we were going to look at, We started the day in New Jersey to check out this KICK ASS Mazda 6. This car was a beauty: black, a nice spoiler, aluminum rims. It was 2005 with only 51k miles as well, literally babied. I get on the lot, the guy working there is wearing an AC Milan Jersey. This lot has literally 186 perfect reviews online, so I felt like they were good people. We get on the lot and were greeted immediately. As we're looking for the Mazda on the lot, I caught a glimpse of the Mitsubishi Lancer that I thought was sold. The Lancer was my #1 car un

Theyre Practically Giving Macbooks Away $200 off for students, and you get a pair of Beats with them. Should I go for it? I've been anti-Mac for my whole life. When I started college 3 years ago, the people at computer stores always tried to push Macs on me. I denied them every time, saying that they were overpriced and one wouldn't be able to play games on them. But now I have other needs for a computer. I'm not into games at all anymore. In fact, if I got a Mac, it'd probably discourage me from playing League of Legends, which would be super great. My current laptop is fine. It's a three-year-old Sony with Windows 7. The touchpad hasn't worked for a year, but it's no big deal because I use a USB mouse. The screen is really dirty, but I co

Bruh the Dealership Got My Ass Today I was robbed of my virginity today. 8 hours ago, I was a virgin to the world of used automobiles. My innocence was at its peak. I had faith in the American Dream. But then I got to this Mitsubishi dealership, and almost just gave up on buying a car right then and there. Okay, so here's the story. I'm in the market for a used car and there's a 97% chance I'll be buying something on Saturday. As I explained in my other thread, we couldn't go see anything yesterday. Today, after a few hours in Long Beach with my mom's super hot friend who has a boyfriend across the Atlantic, we started our car shopping. The first lot we went to was a Mitsubishi dealership I discovered last night. They advertised this bad as

I Was Supposed to Buy a Car Today But my stupid mom forgot about our stupid dentist appointments and she wouldn't cancel them because her, "teeth hurt." And then her stupid friend surprises her with tickets to a play and she always puts her friends before me so of course she just went. I've been looking at cars for two months and have done all the number crunching, got all the insurance quotes. All we have to do is go see these cars in person and get the one I like most inspected. But nooo, let's just go to the play and complain about how we're poor when you just came back from a two-week African vacation. God I hate my mom. I like going to the dentist, though. The only problems I've ever had with my teeth are that they're yellow;
