Super Carved Slot Miracle cubes

I don't know about anyone else, but I used 77 of them during this sale on an item with rare bonus potential. Got 0 tier ups, 0 lines of % attack. assuming its a 5% chance of tiering up from rare --> epic, there's something seriously wrong with these cubes. Anyone else use the sale cubes and have problems? Or am I just horrendously unlucky today?

Uhm, the first one took quite a lot I'd say 60-70 but after that, it went down and I was able to get the other 2 unique fairly quickly and cube them for a decent stats, the last epic one actually took about 40 cubes, and I settled on my last cube for now stats wise

Just used another 35 bonus cubes. This time, i got the %mg.att back on my staff that I lost, went through 2 packs on emblem, with the second pack getting me rare>epic>unique, now I'm at 9% atk, 6%mg.att. god, I wish it was 15%mg.att so I could leave it.

Maple Tip] Never ever ever ever cube rare stuff, so much cheaper just to buy a epic pot/uni pot scroll/service :< Yw.

The way I see Cubes work is based on your luck for the day. If you buy lets say 5 cubes, and get no good results, stop. It's a bad day to cube. If you get a few good results keep going, it's a good day to cube. I set aside 50 or so dollars for 2x miracle time and that was a bad day for me to cube. I should've stopped when I realized it was a bad day. Just yesterday during the red cube sale, I bought 1 cube, got a decent pot, bought 42 more, gained 14% str on my overall, 6% all stat on my emblem (epic> unique), 9% str on my badge, 10% atk/10% total damage on my sword, 20% boss/15pdr/6% total damage on my shield, and 7% str on my shoes (using 1 epic pot scroll).

Basically main idea, start with a bad run, stop cubing for the day. Start with a good run, keep going.

i believe the tier up rate lowered durin sales. on non miracle time i tiered up two items on 1 pack of 11. during the last miracle time i got MULTIPLE items from rare->unique and some even legendaryy without using many cubes as in ~2~10
i used 50 before i got unique->leg today
I used about 30 on my emblem. It stayed unique.
Thankfully I was about to get my 9% att back.

Just know that Nexon has the power to increase the rates of which items "tier" up. That means they also have the power to decrease them as well.
My assumption is they purposely decrease the tier-increase rates on "sales" such as this one that's present.
The only thing I could say that would prove as some reinforcement to that statement would be the 3-Day limit they allow with the cubes. My suspicion is that they don't allow players to hold onto the cubes for longer than three days because they've lowered the rates during the "sale" period. This prevents players from saving their cubes after the sale to when the rates are back to "normal." It would seem that the best financial move for Nexon would be to lower the rate of a tier-increase to encourage an increase of purchases for cubes. Disgusting and completely unethical.

Of course, this is based on complete theory.
I don't think they drop the rate during a sale. Enough people get lucky (as well as unlucky) to disprove that theory a bit.

And the real reason why the cubes last 3 days is so that people can't be 1k cubes during this sale (and yesterday's Red Cube sale), and just cube everything and anything they want over a period of 90 days. They make it so that you benefit from this sale basically only during the time it occurs.

Now that they count for miracle times, I'd wait for tier ups. I'll be buying some but only to get attack on rare things.
by definition that's relatively rare, also think about running a z-test on this. It auto fails.

Well that would still be almost 2% which means 1/50 ppl would experience it which isn't that rare if you ask me.

You were just unlucky.
that's a fair thing to say, but assuming its a 5% chance of rare --> epic, and since its such a large sample we can just use the standard binomial formula.
so 19/20 = 0.95 probability of not getting it the first time, however 0.95^77 = 0.019, that's such an absurdly low number that it seems unlikely for me to have gotten that unlucky.
