Kaiser

Attacking/Bossing as a Kaiser Rotation

Just wondering how you guys start off your bossing rotations (without decent skills). Pretty sure mine isn't "optimal" but here it is:

**Before engaging boss:**
Attacker Mode (stance)
Exclusive Spell (buff)
Blaze On (buff) -[(1) Pet Buff]
Cursebite (buff) -[(2) Pet Buff]
Catalyze (buff) -[(3) Pet Buff]
Nova Warrior (buff)
Grand Armor (buff)
Stone Dragon (passive damage)
Inferno Breath (passive DoT damage)
Tempest Blades (summon)

Engage Boss w/ Giga's to apply 'Slow' (status effect, so you deal extra damage w/ Cursebite procs affecting all other skills)

**After engaging boss:**
Wing Beat
Tempest Blades (attack) [Usually a delay between hitting the key and it attacking, so you can continue the rotation right after hitting the key]
Wing Beat (You can have up to 3 Wing Beats active at the same time, but I noticed optimal DPS from having 2 up)
Tempest Blade (summon)
Giga's Wave (Spam til Wing Beat duration runs out)
Repeat
guys, grand armor is VERY important, it's our main source (and our only source of inherent) of Status Resistance, and without it, we can't get 100% -_- i mean, it's 60%... sure it won't help in the ENDGAME bosses, but everywhere except magnus, cra, Oz, Gollux, and Lotus, it's invaluable...
wingbeat is bugged. it doesnt apply slow effect on the monster it hit
or is it just me?
I remember it applying the slow status on a Wingbeat-only run of Cqueen I attempted a week or two ago, but I'll double-check it once MS is up.

EDIT: Yep, Wingbeat isn't applying Slow for me either as of after the maintenance.

if its like cra where u summon the boss i use the same method of buffing except i dont use grand armor its a waste of time but for attacking
1. stone dragon
2. inferno breath
3. 1 gigas
4. 2 wing beats
5. gigas and tempest when ever they recharge to the point where i can spam 2 tempest blade attacks

Going to use your format as a template since what I do is extremely similar, and it's already nicely laid out ^_^

**Before engaging boss:**
Tempest Blades (summon) [I use it first to begin the cooldown as soon as possible]
Attacker Mode (stance)
Exclusive Spell (buff)
Blaze On (buff) -[(1) Pet Buff]
Cursebite (buff) -[(2) Pet Buff]
Catalyze (buff) -[(3) Pet Buff]
Nova Warrior (buff)
[I stopped using Grand Armor after I began seriously equipping my Kaiser, as I was taking 1's from regular mobs and it didn't seem to affect %HP attacks. Can't confirm at the moment, would be much appreciated if someone remembers.]
Stone Dragon (passive damage)
Inferno Breath (passive DoT damage)

[Both Stone Dragon and Wingbeat apply Slow, so I go straight into casting Wingbeat]

**After engaging boss:**
1. Wing Beat [Only if I know the boss doesn't have an invincibility frame coming up]
2. Tempest Blades (attack)
3. Tempest Blades (summon) [With nice timing or brute-force key mashing, I can have a second set of blades up with next to no delay, before the first set has had time to move away]
4. Wing Beat [Only if I know the boss doesn't have an invincibility frame coming up]
5. Gigas Wave [Spam until Tempest Blades is finished cooldown]
Repeat while throwing in Stone Dragon whenever it expires, or Inferno Breath when I know the boss is staying in the vicinity

That is pretty much identical to my spell rotation/preparation. The only thing I would add is using Piercing Blaze as my primary movement/dodging skill. I know it's not part of the damage rotation but for a lot of bosses like Gollux and Vellum and also Dojo, it is extremely useful. It's just so much better to use than flash jump or Dragon Barrage since the distance you move feels so precise and controlled (and a much smaller distance as well, so the time between moving and attacking is less than with the other options - thereby increasing your overall DPS if you cannot just sit stationary and spam skills)

I know it doesn't help in strictly speaking in terms of an attack rotation, but it is something I didn't start using until very late (especially since it's like a 2nd job skill...), and it's also something a lot of new Kaisers might not think to even use - but could gain a lot of benefit by doing so. I know personally Hard Gollux and Hellux became a million times easier and was dying MUCH less once I started using Piercing Blaze to dash from either side of the center portal.

I do something similar except I skip all steps and just spam gigas

I too have heard that 2 wing beats is the optimal DPS choice.
That is, constantly keeping 2 wing beats and using gigas in between summons.

As for the main rotation, I cannot help too much. My kaiser is only 140, but I plan on leveling him soon enough, so I'm curious on the topic.
Your pet buffs seem on point, I would not change those too much.

I really do think you have it worked out well. Maybe I can attach some videos of kaisers bossing for some help on certain bosses?
That is maybe there are some kaisers that do some crazy things on certain bosses that works out

Edit: I just saw a kaiser using the summon at gollux to kill the potatoes and now I'm feeling stupid for having not thought of that.
