Android Autocorrect dictionary

So I'm planning on getting an Android phone which looks pretty fancy for its discounted price (specifically, the Huawei Ascend P1 on Wind Mobile (Canada)), but the thing that bugs me is that the spell checker is apparently dumb as a rock-- i.e. the majority of everyday words will be underlined in red as you type them and it won't even autocorrect "gello" to "hello" and such.
So is there a way to "update" this dictionary, or at least replace it with the vanilla Android autocorrect dictionary? (And what's the proper term for "autocorrect dictionary"? Not knowing it is the reason why Google can't help me at the moment. XD)

Thanks!

@Satoshi1234: Link didn't load.

I usually use GSM arena for specs and PhoneArena for details and comments.

I think its more of an OS problem. Check the Language settings and make sure google keyboard is selected as the default.
4.2 Jellybean should make it even better (when released).

It should work fine.

Google's not bringing up the same results as what I got on my phone (which I read the reviews on, and which is far away from me at the moment), but this is another review that points out the nasty auto-correct issue:

If that's the case, then I'm a bit confused as to why that was considered to be a serious problem in the phone reviews in the first place. o.o"

Thanks for the help, guys!

In my phone which is LG Optimus L5, all I do is:
1. System settings
2. Language and input
3. "Cogs" that are next to the language
4. Prediction and auto correction
You can do this:
1. Google Play Store
2. Swift Key
3. Download

That might be a tad difficult to do, considering how many hundreds of thousands of words need to be added to make the dictionary function like the vanilla one.
Is there any other way to make it better than manually editing it?

You can edit it if you want.
