My life from starting MapleStory then until now
I just realized that it's been over 6 years since I started playing MapleStory.
In 2008, several months after the 3k trade limit and removal of the wilderness in RuneScape which caused me to quit, I downloaded MapleStory for the very first time.
6 years later, with months/years of (rage) quitting and breaks due to real life commitments I am now 18 years old and still playing the game.
But what interests me most is how much has changed in my life throughout those years but MapleStory, just a simple game, is continues to be part of my life:
From when I was just starting out high school to this very day, several weeks from me beginning my first year of university.
I've grown about 10 inches since making my first Nexon account. Heck, I didn't have one single pube when I downloaded this game in 2008 LOL.
Some of my closest friends when I was 12 I don't even have on Facebook these days/I don't talk to them at all. Friendship groups have changed constantly throughout these high school years and I'm sure they'll change again when I start university.
I remember having my first kiss the same weekend that Dual Blades came out. (Probably the most exciting class release for me... Then pwning in CPQ with my DB, easily one my most enjoyable few weeks ever on MapleStory.)
Actually, when I started MapleStory, I don't think I even noticed/"liked" girls back then and now, Jesus, at least 30% of what I do (choosing clothing, going to the gym, playing sports etc.) is partly all to impress girls haha.
But yeah, I cannot believe how this game has been part of my life for 6 years. Just a few thoughts running through my head I wanted to express to BasilMarket (also been using Basil for at least 4-5 years now wow...).
Hopefully you guys can relate and I'm also interested in hearing your thoughts. ^_^

maple has also been a big part of my of my life, bigger than i'd like to admit.
but it has also been very, very horrible for my life.

My character is a male. Look up "violet tunic" in the cash shop, males can wear this dress. And this hair is from the all stars coupon from well over a year ago.
Ive been here for around 6-8 years too I started around a year before pirates existed and i still love the game great destresser

I was tempted to go back to RuneScape as well, but I just felt like it wasn't the right game for me anymore (didn't want to taint my memories from the "golden days".

i hear you sir, i've been playing since beta and so much has changed. i still don't know why however long i take a break, i still somehow end up coming back to this wonderful (and very rage-inducing/hack infested) game hahaha
