Storm and Burning magic have an animation now?

So yesterday and today I noticed an odd little animation while training.

I'm not sure if it is storm magic, but i've only seen it about five or so times. Is it storm magic? Has anyone else seen this?

@Abysseon: Well Im not sure why yours didn't activate because at ToT it's activating a lot on the first hit o:
*edit: Finally saw the instant-kill effect while using magic bolt at werewolves...

From my experience, it doesn't activate if you kill the monster in 1 to 2 hits but it can activate if you kill the monster in 3+ hits.

So the secondary effect in storm magic is pretty much worthless. >.>

They should replace it with something else.
It does activate when you 2 hit mobs; Ive activated it from using Cl once on a mob that I would 2 hit.
Though it doesn't work for 1 hits for obvious reasons.

@Abysseon: I agree. The skill itself could use a whole revamp in my opinion. at max level it's +10% damage to an enemy with a status/dot? the boost is pretty miniscule, and not even useful when you 1-2 hit things.
Not sure what could be done to make it better within reason however.

If anyone has a magic ring, you'll understand what I mean. I think anytime a monster is instant killed, it should have it in words above your head, so you can read it and see it's there =D

@Abysseon: Unless you look the other way while training, there's really no way you haven't. (unless you one hit everything). Even if you don't acknowledge that you've seen it or even register it happening, it's happened RIGHT BEFORE YOUR EYES.

@Abysseon: Yes you have. Say your first hit brings the monster down to 10% hp, even though your next attack would have koed it anyways, there's still a chance to insta kill it since it's in the hp range for activating.

No.... I was collecting a Mr. Alli familiar card (it heals 15% of HP/MP every ten seconds. No need for pots if you ahve one unless you're bossing )

BTW I *still* absolutely *love* your ID ;D
A monster needs to have 30% or less hp for you to get a 15% chance to instant-kill it.

Given that I already 1 to 2-hit monsters around my level, I've never seen storm magic activate either...
I only see it when Elquines hits them first and there's barely a sliver of HP left

it's kinda useless since it only activates very rarely, and since I pretty much only train at LHC then the only times I would see it is when i'm out randomly somewhere else, like future hene collecting cards...

Abysseon's right. It looks exactly the same as the archer's insta-kill one too. (Mortal Blow ) Just not blue.
I've never seen it before. Maybe I kill things too fast. I do 2hit-KO's on the monster I train on.
even if you're about to kill it regularly there's a chance for the insta kill.

I don't think Burning Magic has one.

Oh. That's kinda neat, although I wish it were blue. Still, nice to see that it shows when it happens, before that I completely forgot about it and even if it did activate I never noticed.

i've noticed the animation as well, and at first i thought it was arcane aim or something, but i'm now fairly certain it's the animation for the insta kill with storm magic
