Cygnus Knights Link Skill

So, the link skill for the Cygnus knights gives you 5% status resistance for each knight.

But you can get up to 5, and stack it to 25% status resist.

Now, does each of the 5 characters count as one link skill each? Or do all of them count as 1.

That is to say, if you can get at max 12 link skills on a character, does getting 5 Cygnus knights count as 5 link skills used up? So you only have 7 remaining? Or do all of the 5 count as 1?

Thanks!

@hualicious: I was saying those are statuses that can't be all cured by a pet. They can be blocked with status resistance.

@highqualityz: At the moment you can't put other Cygnus Knight Links on other Cygnus Knights. My buddy tried that when I recommend her to get her Abnormal status up by training Cygnus Knights.

@stoker and @twopointonefour: sure a pet with Auto All Cure can cure many abnormal statuses, you still want a high abnormal status %. I thought that Abnormal status do work against seduce. From what I noticed on characters with low Abnormal status % they kept getting seduced non-stop while characters with high Abnormal status % I don't get seduced or rarely get seduced.

Having a high % of Abnormal status or 100% will also be usefull at bosses with cooldown on potions.

@funkyflame: It's also great to be an alchemist and make resistance potions to just top yourself off to 100%. Very handy for CRA bosses.

@charlesw420: Yes. IMO It's the most underrated link of them all, definitely worth getting. 100% Status Resist is very nice to have. Get it.

@stoker: It's really useful for dojo where you don't have all cures and whatnot. Negating the 56 stuns/debuffs Pap throws at you really shaves off a lot of time.

It's a link skill with 10 levels.
If I have 5 70 characters linked, I'd get 12% status resist from the level 5 link skill.
If I have 3 70 &2 120 characters, I'd get 17% status resist from the level 7 link skill.

@stoker: You will want a pretty high amount for Hard Hilla as well, cuz that cage attack she does really sucks. Plus its great for emp and a bit helpful in mag.

@charlesw420: Except for elite boss/mob status effects, yes.

I have a question that will prevent another thread to be made related to this.

I made a nw and to mt surprise didn't have any status defense passive skill in 3d job. So im stuck at 20% status defense.

First of all, does linking other cygnus stack with the original Cygnus link, or create a new link skill (thus taking 1 link skill spot?)
And do nw get better status resistance or should i xfer it?

@stoker: Seduce can't be ignored, neither can stun. These are things you can use status resist on.

@stoker: It's incredibly helpful. Some bosses just throw out status ailments constantly (Czak, Ht, PB).
