heck most of the daily quests take less than an hour to finish [including 30min wait quests]

I only tend to play for long periods everyday if there's a particularly appealing event going on at the time.

I hop online from time to time. And every time I sign in, there's no one around.
So I'll go to the temple of time for a bit and enjoy the music. Then I'll kill Zakum twice. Maybe do the two daily pap runs, hoping for that familiar card that never drops.
And then I'll go back to the game's only two populated towns (henesys and leafre) and there's still no one there.
So then I'll sign out.

I can't imagine why these people log in just to afk. I wish they'd stop.
edit: To answer your question, I log in once every two weeks or so, and I don't feel like it was time well spent. I can't imagine what you'd do logging in every day. I guess you could farm your daily bosses, but who would you sell the drops to? The market's dead. I went into the FM and my frames per second didn't drop a single bit. That's never happened before. Middle of the day and everything. There were only three people in the entrance.

Depends whether or not you enjoy playing. At the moment, I personally enjoy playing because I set goals for myself. I try and pour all my resources into one character and make him as funded as I possibly can so that he can kill some decent bosses and make some decent profit off them. Then I can probably use that money to fund other characters which I might enjoy playing. Also, getting all the good link skills. It just depends on if you have fun playing the game. If you don't, then there is no reason for you to come back.

I used to go on everyday to do my daily bossruns (Zakum, Hilla, Horntail, etc.) but it gets so boring that I just stopped

You'll get bored eventually

Everyone has their own opinions and tastes about this game. ( This goes for all MMO's). Some people might find this boring, others probably think it's fun and will keep playing. It's up to you whether you want to keep playing or not, I can't tell you what is right or wrong in your situation.

I agree that playing everyday is tough, especially if there's school and work involved. I find a lot less time to play Maple Story than I did in high school. I still enjoy it, and playing during the extended vacations are fun, but it's no longer in the everyday schedule.

I started this game in 2006. I played from middle school through high school. Now I'm a senior in college. All the friends I started with no longer play, and all the people I met in-game do the same thing as me by occasionally logging on, or have completely dropped the game.

It depends on your situation and goals in the game.

For example, I still have things I'm striving for so I try to log on everyday.
My dailies include doing Gollux for coins so I can save up for the scrolls to self scroll my accessories.
As well as Commerci and other things.

In terms of Current Events, I'm still trying to get those stupid Dex Dark Totems (0 so far, 1 Gold....)

If the events have stuff you want then yeah. Otherwise just come on whenever. I'm currently into the events because I'm bored with my other games but after that ill usually only come on about twice a week

i'm in more or less the same kind of deal you are in. It's not really worth it to play every day, i log on and do the bare minimum to farm the events if i feel like it, and there's currently no ongoing super-awesome events that you'd miss out on, but there is an update tomorrow so that might change.

Other than that, khaini is pretty dead XD we need a merge...
