You need to get some dark looking shoes and maybe gloves. Right now it just looks incomplete.

Wish I got free perm NX though explains the random LED sunglasses I see.

OP, both looks are cute but forgettable. At least it matches

The new character looks less cutesy, but with the bed hair it's going to be difficult to pull of a manly/tough look.
Another problem is that it looks very generic, I feel like I see this look all around basil.
For a truly unique look I would avoid any of the free permanent NX from the event since to many people have those equips.
Whenever I see someone sporting the eye patch I get a cheap/noobish impression since you could get that one for free too. (I know it's ironic since I'm guilty of this too)
I'd change the shirt and remove the eye patch, and maybe try a different colour for you clothes.

lol, I went on maple me and threw together a look loosely based on the impressions I get about your personality from your old and newish look, etc. I think it's kinda cute though bed head isn't my fav hair for guys since it makes them look like 11 yr old emo boys, no offense to anyone. It's not ugly, just a little too cute and babyish compared to what I think most guys are actually trying for.

I like the idea behind it but it uses NX that is way too common. I'd try to find a different black shirt and maybe nix the eyepatch.

Eh, in all honesty that new look is such a common look that I don't even think I'd associate the look with your personality at all. If you're really trying to stick out and put thought into representing yourself or something personal about yourself then maybe try some colours and nx thats less common?

Also, maybe ask your friends to dress your char with maple me to get some ideas that you might not realize fit your personality. I love dressing up my friends chars, in cs or on maple me, etc, and giving them ideas. I'm sure lots of people you prolly already know would love the idea of helping you out, lol.

It's about average, the ears don't really match the overall design though. Nothing really stands out on that look.

You should get a look that's out the box. But the Basil picture is better.

I actually like the new look better. I feel like hiding the other eye with an eye patch would kinda add a mystery to the character. And you could always take the patch off later on if you want. But honestly, do you because as long as you don't make a train wreck of a character it should look good.

No point in having odd eyes if you're just gonna hide the other eye.

Plus the eyes are a more unique feature so I wouldn't want to cover them. Maybe go for a different shirt to help with the uniqueness.
Perhaps a pop of color would be cool (A colored shirt & tie) or maybe go for another dark shirt (like the bullseye)

Try some things and see what else you like and post it
