Apology to teacher. Well this is an apology letter I wrote to my teacher, which I'm going to send via e-mail. It's true in its essence, but the goal behind the picture is to soften her into raising my my grade from a 92.5% (B) to a 93% (A). PLEASE CRITIQUE. I NEED IT TO BE SUPER SUPER PERSUASIVE. Dearest Mrs. Hanna, Well I don’t want to be a politician, so I’ll just make it blunt. I need to apologize. I did not know what I did until I sat down yesterday and thought about it. With thought back to the end of May, I missed Chapter 28 and 29 Test, as well as the final on the days they were administered. Taking tests on the day they are supposed to be taken on is a part of the student’s job, and I abused that. What made me realize h

My mom hates me for being fat Ya. I'm pretty fat, no shame in saying that. 230. The only way I can make my mom happy (and I suppose my body as well) is if I get to 185 (she set this for me) before college. I'm currently a senior. So basically I got until august to make one of those tv commercials happen, lol. Any advice. My problems: No exercise what-so-ever. (I'm completely sedentary) Have no muscle due to the above either Eat too much food at the wrong times (like b4 sleep) Drink too much soda (that's easy to fix, switch to water) My pros: Nothing really, why else am I 230. help me trusted basilers! And please don't go off topic. I know u guys love doing that. Haha. :3 EDIT: I'm 5'10''

How are college decisions going? Obviously I'm curious about how other high school seniors are holding up? lol. But if you've got anything to add to the thread, go ahead! I'm sorta freaking out. My early action choice at University of Chicago was deffered, and so far I've gotten 2 decisions back out of 15 colleges I applied to. Case Western - Accepted (with a 22,500 scholarship per year for the first eight semesters) Washington University in St. Louis - Accepted (really psyched about this one since they said 1,500 were accepted out of 27,000+) EDIT: oh! and my twin bro also got accepted into WASHU, which is really cool!

SAT Writing Section Well, I'm freaking out. This is my last time taking the SAT and I really want to do well in the writing section. My highest so far in it is 660 or something like that, but i mean, its writing! I want at least like a 720 or higher on it. I need your guys advice. I've read the entire sparknotes guide to the sat writing section; I've basically spilled my guts out studying for it, but everytime i take a practice test, i get like 650 on the writing. What do u guys think i should do? Personally, I was thinking to just take a bunch of practice. After all, practice makes perfect. Summary if u didn't understand the above: How can i improve my sat writing score? I've worked extremely hard study-wise, but cant seem to get any highe

Running for Exec Position Hey guys, So I really want to run for an exec position at my university for an organization. The organization is sizable, meaning it's got like 50-ish people that actually show up. The thing that's been bothering me though is there's this girl that wants to run for the same position as me. I'm a guy, so idk how I'll do with the girl's votes. So my question is how do I get the girls' votes? Just hang out with them more? Talk to them more? I really suck at this stuff.

Help on paper Well, I have to make a paper (about 1 page single-spaced) on solar telescopes. It can be anything about solar telescopes. I'm basically teaching my class about them for like 5-10min using my paper. So why am I here? I can't find anything that makes sense! Wikipedia has a bunch of terms I don't understand, and I can't find any other site that tells me about the basics of this type of telescope. Can you guys, my dear friends, help me find some information on solar telescopes? Thanks for saving my rear end again basil! Love you all! P.S. I can't really interpret the advanced stuff, so info has to be sorta.... well for dummies.
